Hello Lovelies :)

I'm starting to swim two or three times a week (my schedule makes it difficult to go more at the moment) so I was wondering if anyone could recommend me some exercises to do when I'm not swimming that would help improve my technique and strengthen the correct muscles for swimming in a tail?

Thank you!
xx

Belly Dancing is AWESOME for your core muscles. I totally recommend it. There's free classes on youtube and it's so much fun to do.

It's so hard to find the best "classes" on youtube, other than "dance examples" and the stuff one just isn't looking for.
Perhaps those that know some great bellydance and yoga "youtube classes" can post them in one universal spot for us?
I have some bellydance/yoga (yes, a combination of both) DVDs but they just don't appease me. I found some bellydance DVDs I wanted to purchase but I don't want to dish out the money (what money).

planking on the floor is a good way to help your core, i know quite a few mers on here who hula hoop and i also reccomend cause i just started it.. some Ab excersies like crunches, knee ups and dead lifts help for your lower Abs. I also jump rope and started a pull up routine because i want to strengthen my arms as well as my upper body.

I've been trying to commit to crunches, 200 - 300 a day, and 30 - 50 girl pushups a day. I don't always get everyday, but 3 times a week is a good start. Still, I loved yoga and bellydance but for some reason all my classes and homework make me too mentally tired, I don't even knoooow.
