okay so ive been looking on the net for sequins to sew onto a neoprene tail. I'm making a turquoise tail hopefully with a combination of white, lilac, blue, and light green sequins like all in like a crazy random way covering the entire tail (sameish colors as hannah fraser's but im not gonna copy promise!! lol). and then at the fluke i plan on painting it somehow... which i have absolutely no idea how to do. I'll post a picture in a bit (still working on it i can't draw lmao). Problem is I have no idea where to get sequins. I want the 20mm big ones! i'm really concerned that the colors will get scratched off hologram sequins and ill be left with a silver tail. Anyone have suggestions on where to buy sequins? Also how many do you think i'm gonna need? Thanks!!

There is a whole section for sequin tails in the Tailmaking Reference Index (http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?2633-%E2%98%86%E2%9A%A0TAILMAKING-REFERENCE-INDEX%E2%9A%A0%E2%98%86-Look-here-BEFORE-you-post-any-questions!). I know people have listed the sites they have gotten their sequins, how they glued sequins on and what glue to use, how they are sewing sequins on, how many they used, and what thread and what stitch they use. The backing of sequins will come off over time; they will split and fall off; they will get chipped and damaged. That's just the nature of a sequin tail- it gets beat up a lot and requires constant maintenance to have it look good. There's also a section on paint and decor with threads on what paints to use on neoprene.
