The Sequin Scoop

Just wondering what the scoop is with sequins. My current tail has a variety of sequins on it and I have never had a problem with them coming apart or fading (except on my heals and knees with some of the smaller sequins) but I have read that some people are having trouble with their sequins coming apart in the water.

Now my question is (drum roll please): Which sequins on Ccartwright (http://www.ccartwright.com/shells.html) have you had a good experience? Which ones have you found come apart, fade or have other issues? Which ones do you prefer?

Any info you can share would be great since the place where I've been buying my mixed shell sequins doesn't carry them anymore and I will be needing them for my next tail!

Also! Are there any other sites that you guys recommend for sequins in more than just shell shapes? I have been looking around and have found a few potentials but am curious to see what you guys think!

The only thing I know about the cartwright sequins is that you shoudn't buy the holgram ones. There just silver hologram sequins with coloring on top. The coloring rubs off easily.

I know the hologram ones rub off, although that hasn't happened with mine yet.

I'm actually on the lookout for dark pink and dark purple iris shell sequins. I'm not sure if the satin ones in Cartwright are good enough and they don't have those colors in iris.

Has anyone used the "Iris shell crystal clear" from Cartwright? I wondered if paint would show through it? Just wondering...

I have some, but haven't tried it. Do you mean paint on the shells or put them on painted fabric? :)

I was looking at sequins today. I'm wondering if the metallic ones would fade or discolor in the water. I love the Iridescent sequins though, they could work for me. Has anyone used these?
