Creepy Costumes?

I want to know peoples opinions on having a creepy costume for a party. I made this tutorial on how to do it, but the party is this Friday and I'm wondering, is it to weird? The costume is Coraline, the theme is 'C' 'M' or 'B'
as it's a joint birthday, my two cousins and myself.

I found the movie pretty creepy! And was a bit puzzled about the morals of it, however I've seen others dressed as it and liked the quirky look. I was unsure if it would be appropriate to dress up as or not, for kids and elders.
