I guess I've known since I was very young since I saw the original 1953 Disney Peter Pan that there was something I liked about mermaids...and yes at my age The Little Mermaid is still my favorite Disney movie...and I loved Splash and Aquamarine too...so I'm glad I found a network here. I'm in southern New Hampshire and I was wondering what I can do to show my support for the community/local pod...

I don't own a tail and i haven't saved up any money...but I guess I'm still a pretty good swimmer but I haven't learned how to swim monofin style yet..

I'm new here too! And if it's any consolation I haven't figured out the dolphin kick that you use to swim mermaid style yet either.

Hi Jon,

Welcome. There is a fair bit of info on tail making on this site so if you feel so inclined you could try making a tail.

Welcome welcome! Always glad to add another member to the network. :) And until you get a tail of your own, remember that you don't have to have a tail to be a part of the community.

I was wondering about pods...i see there are several different ones based on different areas...and i see some members live in canada so i was wondering if a pod can encompass an area on both sides like say new england states in the us and maritime provinces in canada being roughly the same area...is that all one pod?

Welcome, Jon! Always nice to meet another merman. The pod of New England is pretty active, you might want to check them out, first, rather than our Canadian cousins.
