Having just visited Electronica (Munich) and previously had experience in Medica (Dusseldorf) and CES (Las Vegas) I thought... why have I never seen a Pro Mermaid at such an event?

Typically many large companies splash out of glorious stands and then drape them with models to look pretty; but hardly ever for their brain (pity; in Medica we had a brianiac model who liked the cash before returning to Uni). However im sure there are other trade shows where a mermaid / merman could be an real eye winner. So here are some ideas; and using the power of internet; allowing Google to create dynamic links for alternative professional models (see what I did?)

* Holiday / Caravan type shows: on exotic islands. A small portable water pool; rocks
* Glass Window companies (Pilkington / Corning / St Gobain) who could create a large tank for you to swim in - do demo their latest technology
* Samsung / Sony - just because they like the weird and wacky!
* Photography shows (photokina etc) ; for companies selling camera's / lenses as models for test shoots
* Boat shows - especially around the world; where large pools may also be set up. Talk to SunSeeker or others
* Feel free to add to the list.

To help google robots try to link items to specific names (without trademarks) so that future searches bring up some interesting links

Ciao

I've often wondered why pool companies don't hire mermaids for the HOA trade shows and such.

Probably because they don't know they can. I've done these sorts of things, you gotta do your research and mail your info to potential clients.
