I really have no idea if this will work, but I had a thought the other day. A lot of cosplayers use Sculpey (http://www.sculpey.com/) to make their accessories so I was wondering if it would work for a dry use scale top. You would have to hand craft all the individual scales and find a way to attach them to your bra base (an adhesive bra? (http://www.joann.com/search/_adhesive%20bra/)). I was thinking hot glue since it's easy to use and fairly mess free. It'd be completely customizable since you could layer the scales any way you wanted and paint them however you liked.

This is all theory, haha. Do you think something like this could work? I'd like to try it eventually~

You could do I that I think! I HIGHLY recommend E6000. That stuff is AMAZING. I use it for everything, bras, car doors, shoes, tails, it's wonderfully perfect.

Hot glue sometimes doesn't hold up to even normal conditions or surface weather. I second E6000! It glues nearly everything! Also, I would be careful when storing it or making sure that the scales you sculpt are not thin enough to snap easily.

A while ago, I made an impression of a pumpkin seed and baked it. I put clay in it and tried making little scales patches. I never finished the project, but would something similar possibly be useful for sculping uniform scales?

Great idea! They sell shape cutters , look like cookie cutters, af craft stores right by the sculpy/poly clay...use an oval , cut in half = 2 scales. Roll your clay thun, and cut out a bunch at once so you can bake them all in one batch. You could use pearlecent powder before baking to pretty them up!

Yay! Thank you all for the suggestions! I'm glad you think it's doable. :3
