January Meetup at the Tulalip Resort

For those of you not on the FB Group, we're trying to work out a meet up in Jan for going to the Tulalip Resort (http://www.tulalipresort.com/). Here's some information we have so far:

Throwing this out there for future meet up--- Tulalip resort has one of the most awesome oasis stye pools....waterfalls and plants etc. Excellent photo op. I can get us a fantastic deal for any night Sunday through Thursday. I was thinking suite for a party/dry photos, and then rooms at a discount for anyone wanting to stay over. Anyone interested? Close for our Canadian mers....convenient to the train for those of us south siders that may want to join. (free shuttle from sounder station in Everett to the casino) and shopping--don't forget the outlets are right there ;)

It's an indoor salt water pool.

The rooms will be in the 160-200 range depending on the day we pick and the size of the room you need. I'll [Jennifer will] call their group desk in January when we pick our weekend. if we have more than 10 rooms we can work in some extra space/food credit and have a little drink/food time at the pool too. I find it helpful to feed the photographers or they get cranky.


Several people are attempting to set up room sharing and car pools.

Oh man, the casino is right outside my hometown. I would be so up for this, it sounds great. I'm out of town until Jan 13th, so would we be able to do a weekend after that?

Lol :) I am pretty open aside from the first weekend. If we make it end of month do you think we can get at least 10 room commitments? If so, this counts as a 'meeting' and I call in the sales manager so we get some extras thrown in.

Like you exdraghunt, I have no need for a room, as I live in Arlington as well, a very short drive away from the casino. I'm definitely going though! :)

Actually, the Tulalip Resort meetup is being rescheduled to an undecided date. Instead everyone is going to A Pirate's Life for Us at Ocean Shores. Here's some info:

"A PIRATE’S LIFE FOR US! The Pirates & Mermaids return to the Port of Ocean Shores for the third year, January 25 – 27th at The Best Western.

This event is free to the public. We ask that you bring cans of food and or dog food to donate to The North Beach Food Bank and PAWS.
Find your inner pirate and join pirate crews from all over the Northwest for all kinds of pirate festivities.

Partake and enjoy: The “Gear & Garb” Sale on Saturday Morning Jan. 26th from 9-12pm at the Best Western; Meet, Swim & Take Photographs with The Rogue Mermaids & Pirates, along with the Northwest Mermaid Pod on Saturday Jan. 26th from 12-2pm, with free face painting for the kids; Treasure Hunt, Pub Crawl, singing & other merriment the evening of the 26th; followed by a Pirate Party at the Best Western.

This is a very fun piratical event for the whole family to enjoy and it supports two very good causes: The North Beach Food Bank and PAWS. We look forward to seeing all our Mates at A PIRATE’S LIFE FOR US!

If you mention you are with A Pirates Life for Us at Best Western you will get a discount. Rebecca MacKay and her family, and probably a lot of her Pod will be coming. The Vancouver mermaids (Oceana, Bjossa, and maybe Lexie) are planning on coming down, and Victoria and Greg are planning on going as well.

I still have to sort out the ride issue, but I'd love to go as well!
