Ugh, I've come down with a mermaid version of the common cold. Symptoms: Enflamed gills, reddening of face scales, tail pain, slight nausea, and unable to see clearly underwater. No cure, just have to wait it out. *sigh* And I've a three hour journey ahead of me. Tell of your mermaid ailments!

my right eye is lazy so i've been training it to not be lazy... but using it too much has made it go red and veiny... my other eye is blurry from being used too much compared to the other eye... ;__; AGH!

I swam too hard and sprained a stomach muscle. XP How ridiculous is that?

I normally eat really healthy- this weekend I had 2 parties that involved a lot of lollies and cake... I broke my sugar tolerance level yesterday and poisoned myself with a cupcake >___< Spent yesterday and today in bed!! XD

I went for an amazing swim tonight and I think I over-did it, cause my back is sore. :-( I'm trying to stretch it out.

I have some weird illness that after spending 6 hours in urgent care I still have no idea what it is.. Seeing a specialist tomorrow to hopefully get some answers... They're suspecting that it's stress related considering I'm under a bit of stress as of late (we're short staffed at work so I can't take any time off, I'm in the middle of moving/starting from scratch and my cat just died - among other daily stressers)... Just hope it's nothing too serious considering the symptoms are a bit serious... Besides that this mer took to the snow this weekend and managed to strain almost every muscle above the waist XD

Gotta love life!

I had a similar 10 hour visit to hospital in August after a minor bicycle accident resulted in a small blackout (few minutes). The GP spotted missing P waves on on my cardiograms. And off to hospital for monitoring I went. Yippee. Lots of tests and troponine levels 10-20x above normal. Many tests later im fit as a fiddle (ok now with Bronchitis). However my suggestion would be to check out what aches you received on your torso. Multiple muscle strains can influence the parasympatic nervous system in unusual ways. Mine was to down-regulate my heart rate (for 2 hours my pulse was 30-32 BPM; returned to 40 for the rest of the day) - my normal is around 48. So... it just shows that under stress (cold morning; no breakfast; thinking about work; having just done two 6 days weeks and 5 hour sleeps) the body has strange ways to make us wake up and smell the roses.

Good luck!
