So I'm ordering a Fish Butts tail today, and I drew up this design in class...

It was originally going to be cherry blossom based, but that was too simple, so I added the stripes. Layout complimentary of Koral. Do you guys like it?

Very cute. Cherry Blossom you say?
I say, put some brown into the very tip of the tail on the fluke's trim, and have the brown go up the fluke like spines, give them a branch look, and make the fuchsia look like splotchy blossoms. Towards the "top of the tree" they could look as though the wind is blowing at the top of the tree causing a spread of petals up the tail. A tail of art, surely!
Hard to explain, but the petals are doing this, essentially:

I love big Flukes along with the long Fluke tips, its a design i use regularly, I might remake my blue tail with the Similar design i posted above. I went with the Aqua/Lavender/Purple look because i wanted to seem as if my tail is changing, if you look at my blue tail you see the dark blue on my waist and tips, which are curled. So with the evolution of the tail, waist and tips are changing to lavender/purple, the tips have uncurled for a straighter, sleeker look..lol thats how my mind works..

^LOL that happens to me it will always change, heck it took 6 months for me to design my first tail, just when you think you have it, something else catches your attention, then your left with endless tail color patterns and drawings. which is kinda how i ended up with the one above, I Merged two tail colored i loved and "Poof" Final Tail design.

Actually i dont think gills on a mermaid tail would look good IMO-

How would you keep them on? I've heard spirit gum, but I've always had that come off of my skin easily. Then again, parts of my skin are super oily.

Well the Neoprene inside the tail feels like thick or kinda stiff spandex, well if you have worn a wetsuit before thats basically it :) But Silicone is awesome, it will feel realistic, to the touch. You wont be dissapointed

The silicone feels awesome, because the scales are imbedded it feels real and doesn't stick to anything, if you got your exact measurements it'll suck right onto you and fit you really well. The neoprene is a thicker fabric, for someone who hasn't felt it before, think of fabric foam sort of. It keeps you really warm, but the silicone on top is great, and it's about 7-10 pounds, in the water it's weightless though, it's lovely. It's relatively neutrally bouyant, so it won't force you to the surface, but it won't help you sink either. Hope that answered your questions! I have mine if you have any questions about the partial silicone! :=)

I'm in the same boat as you guys! Ordered my tail right after Thanksgiving when she had the Cyber Monday sale. I contacted her twice now within the last 2 weeks by email, and also have been posting on the Facebook page. I was told by someone named Rose that she would be contacting me this weekend....still nothing. I actually just went back on the Facebook page and now it looks like my posts have been deleted. I really don't understand why it is so hard to contact her customers who are waiting. I am trying to be patient, but it's not like I spent $20 or $30..I mean this is considered a large purchase for me and I really would like to know what is going on with my order. If she isn't going to be able to complete my tail, I wish she would let me know now and give me a refund so that I can order a tail from another tail-maker. I mean....I am going to Hawaii in May, and MUST have a tail by then. I also need plenty of time to work on it before I leave for my trip..because I wanted to sew sequins all over it. :(

Thank you! Point your toes, if you let your feet fall behind you, you can see your feet/ankles. I am really big on keeping the illusion, I try to always point my toes. :)

I have been to Oahu many times in the past and I love it there! My husband and I were actually married on Oahu :) Any chance you ever swim your way over to Kauai? We will be there May 19-26. That would be so cool to have another mermaid friend to swim with!

As far as sewing sequins onto my tail I am not really sure if I can or not haha. I was just going to attempt to. I ordered the partial silicone tail, so I was thinking the silicone may be thin enough to sew through. Do you think it would be a lost cause? If so, it's not a huge disappointment...I'm sure it will be beautiful just as it is. I just LOVE sparkles! ;)

Alaina, I think we could do a swim over to Kauai on the trip! I think the silicone is too thick to sew into, and the way it's made is super pretty with the 3-D texture, so I wouldn't advise it, I'd say wait till you get it to see if you want to, to actually order sequins, but I can't imagine doing it. She puts glitter in the top coat and on the base coat so it should be glittery, if not there is always a can of spray glitter to grab ;-)

An update:
I messaged Stephanie and she told me that my tail wasn't quite finished yet. She told me that she would have it shipped to my hotel with a confirmed delivery date by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and apologized for the delay. Like Raina said, it really needs to be done as a group and in an organized manner...make sure you (the fraud victims) are all on board and have all your ducks in a row re: paperwork, receipts, email transcripts, etc. That's the only way to get a judge to take ya'll seriously, imagine trying to prove your case with "Your Honor, I paid this girl I met on facebook/mermaid forum/whatever lots of my hard-earned cash to make me a fish tail so I can be a mermaid in real life and now I have no money and no tail and I just want to swiiiiiiiimmmmm!" If you're referencing mernetwork, people aren't bad mouthing, they're actually being encouraged to be as honest as possible by posting and documenting their proof.
And honestly, there's a lot of people with proof that they've been waiting anywhere up to a year many promised refunds etc.
I think you should consider seeing if you can apply for a line of credit to refund people. Then you can use your money from current orders to pay THAT down, instead of trying to get caught up by taking on more orders for the older orders. You also haven't posted anything since July 20th before this. So if you don't reply to messages or post updates or reply to emails then people are going to talk it out the best they can I think.
I'm really sorry you've gotten yourself into this hole, it sucks, but I guess no one is getting any feedback so how is anyone able to know you're taking care of it?
