Problem is I don't feel like encouraging mer-verts and I do a few kids parties here and there.... so, I guess the bathing suit tops it is. :p

i have the fear that even if she takes new orders, that there are already so many clients waiting, that she wont be able to take my order.

To be honest, I have no idea. I don't think its a competitor either because it would have to be cut down so much and I never thought to ask haha. The fluke is VERY stiff so I get mad propulsion...maybe I should ask Raven haha

yeah I was just talking to her today, they just finished up the batch of tails that were due, and now they're on to the next batch that'll be due soon. Raven is always AFK lol.

I called her from the airport in NC and she was airbrushing while on the phone with me, lol. I could hear the compressor in the background. She pretty much never stops. She's also damaged her phone, and since she recently spilled acetone on her laptop, she doesn't really have the usual reliable means of posting things so I think priority is just being given to updating current clients

Don't worry, Malaina, I drew up a second design while waiting for my dream tail. XD it's a back up/secondary tail design. I hope Raven can make it by the time I have funds.

So, my tail will be heading back soon for repairs! Nothing too major, so don't flip. :-P I got out the two events I needed to and she held out amazingly. Though, I am sore. Haha not as bad off as I thought I'd be, though! I do need socks, though. Just thin ones because the foot pockets are fairly snug on me. I just need a buffer between my foot and the rubber.

I'm still working on maneuvering in my tail. My flips are so sloppy. XD I'm only getting better with each swim!

Actually, I ordered months ago, but I have yet to send measurements because life got in the way. So, it's like I just ordered. But I want to send them out this week. I'm getting a performance tail, the angler with a rainbow pink and gold design. It's basically Raven's choice. I picked the color scheme but gave Raven total creative freedom because I trust her eye and I know I'm just going to adore whatever she chooses to do. So there is no design per se. xD How about you?

Question to mers with a basic tail here: After using your tail for quite some time, where and how mutch wear n tear have u got by now? Even when being extremely carefull with it!
Last week, when I used my tail for a (first) dry event, I sat dawn with my knees hold up.
And suddenly I saw some scales stretched out so badly they would almost tear. It was on the upper legs part. When laying down, u don't see anything on them. Now i'm a bit tricky about using my tail again. And yes I know how thin the silicone is cast on basic tails.

Sooo, just wonder if anyone else got this with their tails. ;) And no- its not a mesuring issue, my tail fits perfectly.

That happens on all silicone or latex tails at the knees after time because of stretch. I combat it by putting new silicone inside the tail at the knees

Ariel, even my full silicone tail pulls apart at the upper thigh. It's concerned me for a while, I think (underscore THINK) it may be because the silicone is being stretched a bit too much and the thinner spots tend to tear. What to do about it, I'm not sure. But you're definitely not the only one this happens to. Raina, what do you use to add more silicone?

I just got more silicone, you can get sample sizes from smoothon. And put it on the inside of the tail where it's wearing. But Thalassa you should chat with Raven she's always telling me how she wants to redo your tail like she redid mine, and yours was one of the firsts too!

Also...I don't think Thalassa's was one of the firsts. I mean kind of early on but maybe it was. I suppose only Raven's FB or Thalassa will tell though. Except mobile, so maybe tomorrow I'll look. :P

Yip inside no pigment needed and yeah I think thalassas was one of the first full silicone tails. There was mine. The pink one. A few basics. The German gold one and then hers. My tail is over 2 but I will have had it 2 years next month!

My front side has a purple on the outside then fades into blue and then in the center it is kind of a light turquoise color with black dots along the "belly". The tips of the Fluke are black on both sides. On the back it is purple and blue and I have a small dorsal fin on the bum area that will be the light turquoise color and has a black tip. As for the octopus top I got a blue ringed octopus but I wanted mine to be different from the others she has made so mine isn't yellow it is more of a purple color (if you type in Blue Ringed Octopus into google images the one I am using pops up) Im really sorry for the long description and lack of pictures :-/

I'm saving my tax return for a merbella tail :) I'm getting back quite a bit. But it doesn't like she's responding to many people trying to buy tails. :/ I have a friends who's sent her payment ready email at least 3 times and she hasn't heard back? Yeah she's not taking orders and when she does I think she has a few people who have been waiting a year or more very patiently and she's going to try and do them first. But I know she's planning on selling off more tails ebay style as well so keep an eye out for that.

Some people can be impulsive and in the final moment, they realize that they are perhaps making a mistake and they back out.
On the bright size, this allowed Raven to get more creative and if she keeps this tail or someone gets it, it's a win-win situation. I guess.
