Yep, they emailed me yesterday asking for my address and said that it would be shipped out first thing this morning! They also said that they would be at an event all day so maybe that's why you haven't gotten the invoice.

As you know, Raven has begun to contact me directly through Facebook messaging, and on Friday (when my internet had been and would remain down for days!) she informed me that she has completely molded all of my new fins and scales! She told me that everything has come out beautifully, and that she was finally able to do a swim test on Sunday with the new scales and that they work and look great!

Raven is now proceeding "full-steam ahead" on my tail! :yay::cheerleader:

This also suggests that the Dragon Scales may soon be joining the Merbella market. In fact, she shared with me a video of her sculpting the scales which she took using her phone, however as she sent it privately I'm not certain that I can share even the small screenshot which I took thereof....

God love you Michelle. It was amazing of you to sit back and wait SO LONG so Raven could figure our the right process to make your dream come true. Many would not be patient enough for something like this, but I truly believe it was better to wait so she could make the process perfect. I also know of a few new updates she's made to her process that are vastly improving her tails. I truly believe you'll be getting the best merbellas has to offer. I don't know how you've managed this long. I just know Raven will not disappoint. I am so proud of you, and so happy for you.

It is so wonderful to receive such support from such beautiful people, from the epically-named Mermaid Mystery/of the Labyrinth to the magnificent silver-blue siren Ariel Starfish, the lovely Leina, Mer-Crazy and her Melody siggy, Arion who provides extra reminder of why I'm a Francophile, Raina the visiting of and working a bit for whom has become the biggest thing to which I look forward once I have the tail (I will seriously use what royal blood I have to crown you Queen of Canadian Merfolk), and the modest PealieMae; I would not want to blow you all out of the water unless it were for a professional photoshoot (perhaps for a calendar)!

While I am not in a good financial situation anymore, I am still very eager to at last become a proper mermaid (and I might be able to entertain the children at the Church!). Then I will (Samus from Metroid-like) allow the lot of you to finally see my face (assuming you haven't already seen it by viewing my Facebook or digging up the homemade monofin thread I posted years ago)! :cthulhu:

I had a question I thought I would ask. I've been a little worried to ask it, I don't know why, just one of my quirks to overthink and to worry.

I've been in communication with Raven since before I put in my order for my tail focusing on the Emerald Queen and what-have-you, but I've not heard anything about my tail. I'm almost at my 400 day mark, and would it be appropriate to ask her about it? I know she is very busy and has been doing marvelous work on others' tails and she had that shoot for the calendar, so I don't want to add anymore stress to her or make it feel like I am being pushy. I'm just curious and I don't want her to think I am pushing her to hurry or anything.

From speaking to her she told me that often she'll just get inspired or read an email and get right to work, so she forgets to message someone when she does stuff. You're not being pushy at all :)

I do wanna remind people (not an excuse just context) she's back and forth with weeki on top of her tail making right now. Just an FYI if emails are sporadic. but we had a great chat last night and she told me (not name specific beyond remarking about Tia's tail and her progress there) that she is working super hard for all the people due in march and april. She has churned out a lot but didnt have a chance to post online, and there's quite a few people getting them right now but they aren't on mernetwork.

So yay! I am really glad things are moving and people are starting to get updates.

The lunar koi is bigger than the she creature and the few people who have bought she creatures, some have had to sell them because they werent skilled enough to swim in it. The lunar koi I believe is the biggest mer-fluke on the market.

The past few days I've been alll over my lovely tail - I even get sad when I got to leave the house and leave my tail behind. Lol

and guess what! I did my first swim in it yesterday evening thanks to the members of my dive club! They could not wait to see the tail in action! :D They all loved it!

The tail swims great! The foil is awsome: lovely flow, HUGE splashing, no footcramps after swimming, and I can lift my fluke out of the water easely! Something I could not do with the big and heavy competitor.

One super tiny minous: I have a gap at my back while swimming. Maybe I'll have a tail surgery later on when it bothers me even more later on.

I know it was offered to me as an option before I settled on my design (this was before your tail was even finished though) and generally I haven't seen Raven make too many things exclusive. Kailani's fluke is the only thing I've seen that hasn't been on a tail since, but it did get modified into the butterfly koi fluke and I haven't really asked on her stance regarding either fluke so it's impossible to say. I'll ask though.

I never really had that problem with my partial, but from what I've heard it happens it everyone. The only thing I've seen that seems to make it easier from what people say is G-strings (or Thongs for Americans)

I don't have a Merbella, but I have a full silicone Finfolk and I found that my usual swim bottoms would catch. I found that tights (like the sheer kind) work well and I found some super smooth swim bottoms that work as well. Sheer and silky work for me!

Thanks everyone! The only reason I asked about merbellas tails verses just in general is because raven does alot of things differently than many other tail makers plus I have a blended waist so I expect it to be tough but figured someone may have secrets to share

I always warn people, the blended waists are amazing but make it so much harder to get on over the butt!

I had been preparing myself to the challenge and its definitely not as hard as i had expected but there's a 12 inch difference in my butt to waist so that along with the blended waist is what gets me. When I wore my thong it took maybe 5 minutes to get it on but with my swim bottoms it took 15 ish but I know ill figure it out, I'm just use to neoprene/alex plus or fabric so its most definitely different. Luckily I have about 3 more months till summer so I have time to perfect everything before gigs start to really pick up!

My first swim in my tail showed a lot of my bikini bottom, so I'm feeling like I didn't get it all the way up as far as I could have as well. We are having similar issues for sure, and I'm sure with time and practice it will be smoother.

Girrrrrrrrl, I feel you on the waist to butt ratio. It makes it so hard with the blended waist. I'm terrified of ripping it! My first swim in my tail showed a lot of my bikini bottom, so I'm feeling like I didn't get it all the way up as far as I could have as well. We are having similar issues for sure, and I'm sure with time and practice it will be smoother.

Since the top of my tail has to go over my head (halter top style), I use a button up dress, that way I can put my tail on over my dress and unbutton it to take it off without showing bewbies.

Also, inexpensive hair condition is my fave lube for tails!

I hadn't even thought to use conditioner, thats also very smart!

I'm all about the butt floss lol mostly because other styles dont cover my rather large back end and ride up so I end up with butt floss anyways, so I just skip a step and start with butt floss

Just pick something that is biodegradable and labelled eco friendly. It stays in your tail for the most part anyway.

Seems like I'm the only one who can put on her tail dry! I have quite some space left on my but/waist area so I have quite some drag swimming in it. I'm still VERY careful every time. :angel:

I use Dawn dish soap (very effective degreaser, gets all the lube!) and a bath pouf...scrub it inside very thoroughly! Rinse with lots of clear water, then follow it up with an alcohol/disinfectant-wipe and dry with towels, then I put it on a tail stand and dry completely with a small fan!

If anyone is looking for some good tight swim shorts you can actually buy volleyball shorts and use them as swim shorts. I was at Academy a few years ago and noticed the volleyball shorts were made with spandex and they had colorful prints on them as if they were swim shorts. I bought one and it has been like the best swim shorts I have ever had ever. I wear them just about every time I go swimming. They have also outlasted my other swimsuits. I should probably go back and buy some more. I just checked mine the brand is Mizuno.
