I'm new here :) Would this monofin suit my design? Dol-fin Monofin

So I am planning to make my first Mer tail these holidays, I I think I found the best monofin for me to use with it.

It is the Dol-fin Tail (monofin) and it is the shape I want for my tail!

But I have heard it is very heavy to use, have any of you used this monofin and is it worth the $80? thanks!

I have never bought a monofin but have heard ones you buy make you swim nice and fast! If its your first tail maybe you should try making a monofin too? I made my monofin it cost me $20 in total, but if you have these materials or ones similar already it won't cost you anything!

OH WOW! I watched you're video, that is the best tutorial so far! It is so simple! I will try it out. But with the plastic mat, is it fairly floppy or sturdy? I will have a look at some places and see!
