I apologize if this has been asked before, I used the search bar but I couldn't find the answer to my question.

So I got the neoprene for my tail and I ordered some Jacquard Lumiere paint. On the first link it explains how to use the paint. You need to heat set it via ironing or the dryer but the second link explains that neoprene should not be exposed to heat. So how did you mers who used this paint set it with out ruining the neoprene? I'm a bit afraid to ruin the fabric.

maybe if you put something over the neoprene first like a sheet and iron on top of that or use a low heat setting?

Jacquard says you can use something called Airfix, as an alternative to heat
