Mermaid Dreams

Hey guys! So I was wondering, have you ever had a mermaid or mermaid-related dream?
Here's mine:
-I was in school, and the floor was all a pool. I became a mermaid and swam with a pink dolphin ^_^
-I was on an adventure with Rikki, Cleo, and Emma, and they taught me how to swim with a real tail, like theirs, when we jumped in the pool.
-[Last night] I was in a lake with my tail, and some guy came up to me and said, "Hey, I was thinking about getting one of those" and I said, "Well, if you're going for really realistic, you should talk to Jesse...wait, have you heard of Mernetwork?" Then I can't remember what happened xD

Yesterday I dreamed about being a mermaid.... (as I do everytime with open eyes XD )
I was flippin my fins in the ocean and I could swim without go up to breath and I felt it was so real that I was really disappointed when I woke up and I discovered that I was still in my bed :'(

I once had a dream where I was a mermaid, and was swimming in deep water with my sisters and their friend. Then a sea monster came and ate the friend, and we went to hide in the closet of a room that looked like my old friend's parent's room. Everything was still under water, and the monster ripped the ceiling off our hiding place, then told us that he didn't eat the friend, she was at his house because he was throwing a party, and we had swam away before he could invite us. o.0

The most recent one that I had was ... I saved a baby indo-pacific dolphin and took it to a rehabilitation place... And a bunch of people wanted to touch and poke it. But it wouldn't leave my side because it was scared... And then the next night I dreamt that the baby dolphin I saved grew into a merman with a dolphin tail and my time of death was soon... I looked out my window from a Miami suite and everything was underwater... Yet the hotel I was in was located at a beach... On the beach there was a banshee siren that came for me. The dolphin boy (a boy because he wasnt a full grown man) tried to save me because I saved him.

Years back I dreamt of a bottle nosed dolphin that was kept in a dirty barn in a tiny pool.

Oh man, that's the type of dream I recommend making into a movie or a book.

When I was little I lived in a house that had a step down outside in our drive way. I had a dream that the step down was the waters edge, and it was like a very very shallow pool. I was a mermaid with braids just kind of sitting there, what i remember the most is that the dream was kind of hazy and had a vintage, smokey, orange look to it.

A year or so after watching the Thirteenth Year, I dreamed that a hurricane was approaching, and I and my friends had to prepare sandbags and stuff for it... only to find that, like Cody Griffin, I was starting to grow fins and scales on my hands and feet, and that I could, with much struggling, control the water and weather... so most of the later part of the dream involved me further evolving and practicing levitating bubbles of water from a swimming pool in hopes of somehow getting strong enough to deflect a hurricane. Unfortunately I woke up both before the storm struck and before my legs fully morphed into a tail.

I had various mermaid dreams when I was younger. Most involving Vleo, Emma, and Rikki. And then there was Elina in mermaidia xD.

Merman Jesse was sending out 'free tail samples' XD I ordered one and I got a full silicone tail in the mail that I could keep!!! It was actually the same one that Raina got a few months ago :) I woke up and I was sooooo mad that it was only a dream!! :P

Oh yeah, I forgot...in last night's dream, I tried on a Mertailor tail but I literally couldn't swim in it. It was WAAAY too tight on my feet and it felt like weights on my ankles so it dragged me down.

I've finally found time to sit down and read through all my dream books. and here is a selected few that were my favourite mermaid dreams.
1: I was playing on my very first playstation game, the little mermaid 2:return to the sea. the first level i was sucked into the videogame and i became ariel. it was so cool because my hair was red just like hers and even had a cute little realistic pouuff! if any of you guys played the game (i'm pretty old but this was like when i was very young) the first level is when you are in atlantica and just trying to get used to maneuvering controls. so i'm in atlantica and my mission was to find the trident (like in the game) and sebastian's shell-phone (not in the game but you had to do something else with him). i find all that i needed and returned the items to king triton and sebastian. i received a pearl as a reward from king triton, and sebastian changed the background music from the main intro, to under the sea (just like the game) i swim into my room and find my mother putting away my laundry when i realize "wait a sec i'm still a mermaid...I'M UNDERWATER." so i finish helping my mom put away the laundry and swim outside to meet up with kakashi, naruto, sakura and sasuke (from naruto) and the practice of the way was to stay underwater for as long as you can (which made no sense but its a dream, its not supposed to make sense.) I am paired up with sasuke and was walk (not swim) to this underwater theme park which was wierd because it was sunny and snowing but we were still underwater. and then a whirlpool appears and sucks everything in like a black hole.

2: i was a mermaid and i was swimming just under the waves when suddenly i got attacked my another mermaid. i turn around to avoid her sound wave attack, turn towards her and circled my arms until i had a ball of energy and i pushed it in her direction (almost like kamehameha and hadouken combined? DBZ AND STREETFIGHTER? ANYONE?) i turned around to swim away before the attack hit her. i escaped into a nearby cave, where a pod of mermaids was hiding. i heard someone say "protect every mermaid" and they took me in even though i wasnt part of their pod. I noticed something off int he distance. my attack missed her and my ball of energy accumulated enough energy over time to become a huge super ball. it was headed towards a sort of stone fortress. we were in an abyss so i assume it was an underground volcano. it hit the fortress volcano and sea serpents/snakes swam out and was headed in our direction. they were quite large (imagine voldemort's snake horcrux but 10 times thicker and longer). they seized hold of our bodies and took us to an underground cave where the volcano fortress was. and evil mermaid lived there with her pet snakes. she lined us up in a circle and a leader of my old tribe was there (caterina from 'Lost voices' novel). the evil mermaid was the girl that caterina and her pod had saved in the first novel but she was quite a beach. she gathered all of the pods of mermaids so that she could be queen mermaid. i refused and she sent her giant serpents to attack me! the rest of the dream was almost like a videogame where the snakes mopped out of holes and they sent mini snakes to attack unless i flicked rocks at them. the serpent attacks were venom wrapped in bubbles. her shark boys became sharks and also tried to attack me and the mermaids. one serpent swam up to me and started hissing at me! i made clicked sounds and it looked at me funny... even cocked its head like "wtf are u doing." the girls saw and decided to do the same. the snakes must have liked the clicking. i reached out my hand to tickle its chin like a cat and it stopped being aggressive. instead of attacking it rolled onto its stomach and became submissive. the shark boys continued to attack and i smack my fin in one of their faces so that eventually they became human boys and drowned. i hid in a little crevice between two rocks. then another shark boy came up and lead me to an underground tunnel where i could escape.

3: Continuing from above the next night... we both got caught by scientists and were kept in a tiny tank. the merman-shark boy was actually my RL boyfriend. and we were waiting for someone to come in and break us out like in the 'splash' movie.

Last night I dreamed that I was with my local theater and I was cast as a mermaid character in our show. It just so happened though, that my latex orange mermaid tail from Mertailor arrived right after I was cast, so I volunteered that as my costume (the fact that I could not walk didn't seem to cross anyone's mind? xD) and everyone thought it was the coolest thing ever. Thing is, it didn't fit in the back. =\

4: my school became flooded (apocalyptic stuff). i felt the water enter my lungs (but i could still breathe), and cold water on my body. it was dark and stormy. i think i became a mermaid because i had to swim a thousand miles underwater until i reached some barren arctic landscape where it was thundering.

5: i became an understudy for sierra boggess who plays ariel in 'the little mermaid' on broadway (and christine in 'phantom of the opera 25th anniversary' and 'love never dies') she couldnt make it to one of the shows because she was sick so i became ariel. so i reenacted the entire broadway show. which was pretty awesome.

6: i am ariel again and i had to find melody (ariel's child.. which would make her my child in the dream). i jump into the sea and my legs morphed into a tail. everytime i went further and deeper into the ocean a flash back would happen of ariel and eric of when they first met. when they end i'm back underwater. i continue to swim forward and deeper into the ocean until i wake up.

lucky (and final) 7: i was getting married to my long time boyfriend. when his back was turned one of his friends that i used to like in highschool kissed me. my boyfriend saw and a war broke out with guns and everything (feelings were unresolved at the time). i found myself in a circular bridal suite that had a secret massage way to the sea. my spirit split from my body and my spirit saw my body walk to the middle of the room. the room changed into the middle on the ocean. there was a thin layer of ice above the water that cracked. I saw an evil old woman (in the shape of a mermaid) in the mirror facing my body. it finally broke and i saw (and felt) my body submerge into a cold, icy grave. because i was a spirit still somehow connected to the body, i also felt myself drown and freeze. it was a weird feeling, like the feeling i just described... your lungs filling with water, except it was ice water. the thin layer of ice repaired itself.


there's one more but the paper is at my boyfriend house. that'll do for now.

Ever have a dream where you were flying, and it actually felt as though you were? Yeah, that's right.

The most of my dream last night was normal, until I was walking down the street and noticed the girls from The 3 Tails dressed as zombies. This is how our conversation went;

"Oh, hi! You're The 3 Tails girls!"
"Yeah, and you're MermaidGirlio, right?"
"You know my name!!"
"Yep! I love your channel!"

At that point I was really ecstatic, then I paid attention to the zombie thing.

"So I see what's coming up in the series."
"It's going to be brutal"

Then I woke up. Maybe the zombie thing is based on how I thought there's recently been a lot of danger and violence in The 3 Tails.

I've had a few different dreams growing up that involved mermaids. One was where I was with a whole group of other merpeople in a pool and we were performing some weird ritual, or something. The others are pretty hazy, things like underwater houses and such. Really strange, but then again most of my dreams are!

I think I've only had one or two, which is a shame... I wanna have more!
I remember one, vaguely, in which I in a portion of the ocean resembling a southern coast I'd visited once before. There, I was swimming, plain and simply, until my dreaming self decided to take a dive, and scour the ocean floor. What should have been a quick, fleeting look-about (It was only the bed to the water near the coast, after all) became a lengthy swim that seemed to last for hours. The simplistic little shells that dotted the sand became the husks of giant clams, the further I swam, and the emerald fronds of seaweed seemed to sprout from rainbow coral. The way I dream, my "dream self" takes whatever occurs in stride, and so I wasn't shocked by the fact I didn't need to breath, nor was I shocked to discover the sweeping, blue merman tail I flicked and swished through the water!
I think I tried searching for friends. I had it in my head they were down there too, hiding away in some Atlantis-like ruins, but I awoke before anything came of that.
Irksomely, I only tend to realise the strangeness of my dreams after I wake up, and so you can imagine my disappointment when I awoke to discover there were still two legs beneath my bed sheets. :rolleyes:

Last night I was dreaming that I kept wishing for a real tail and could breath underwater an then it came true in my dream. Then a cat woke me up :( I was not happy I wanted to finish my dream.

I had a dream the other night that it was Christmas morning. Bubbles and I ran downstairs and found two of the most beautiful Mermaid Raven tails lying under the tree! They each looked like our exact dream tail. We didn't know who put them there, it wasn't our parents. Either way it was a fintastic day! We both found carrying bags for our tails and inside were tickets to Hawaii!! The last thing I remember is being on a plane, but them my alarm clock woke me up :/

I had a mer-dream tonight: My mom was going to work, but she left me to the sea before; so, while I was swimming in a beautiful fabric (but realistic!) tail, in the seabed I found a golden ring and I brought it to her :)

Another dream I had months ago but I can't forget, when I fell into a little crisis about my dream of becoming a mermaid: there was a girl like me sitting on a poolside who was looking at me smiling, then she dived in the pool… and turned into a mermaid! She resurfaced and beckoned me to dive in the water. But then I woke up.
When I thought about what i just dreamed, I realized that I finally had found the answer to that question.
Do I really want to become a mermaid?
Absolutely… YES!

I've had a lot of dreams about being a flying mermaid lol (which is the only time i ever dream im flying) but lately I've been dreaming that all mermaids are people who have drowned. Their spirit becomes one with the water and the mermaid is their spiritual form, i guess, cause you can only see them like that when you are either 1drowning and are about to die or 2 under the full moon. Not really dream, more like sad nightmare type of thing, i dont wanna get too into the details but yeah... Does that make sense?

I was in a neon bright in your face pink tail in pool, and I was trying to impress this guy who had little daughter!

The nightmare part about it, is that I'm not someone who can approach strangers, especially guys and talk about stuff.

A while ago I had a dream where, among other things, I found Raina-o's at a grocery store and went on to buy twenty boxes. The pieces were of course mermaid shaped.


Not really a mermaid dream, but I found it amusing.
