Which MacBook do you recommend?

I'm planning to buy a new laptop. I currently have the M1, and honestly, I think it's an amazing laptop that fully meets all my needs. I want to upgrade simply because I want a new laptop that won’t break. I'm wondering if I should switch from the M1 to the M2?

Why not go for the M3, then? If it's about the price, I can understand. But honestly, I don’t think the difference is that big. I recently bought the MacBook Air M3 (2024), and I’m thrilled with it.

I wouldn’t recommend the M2. For me, the M2 is like a transitional version between the M1 and M3, and everything that falls in between is usually mediocre at best. It's obvious that Apple benefits from selling the M2, but I still believe that it doesn’t compare to the M3.
