first off, raina, that gif is HILARIOUS.

anyways. i got:

- comfy pjs & a $200 gift card to forever 21 from my bfs dad.
- an awesome makeup kit from my bfs granddad and his wife.
- an underwater camera, chocolate, and a few little things from my grandparents (plus they came to see me and keep taking me out to dinner, which i totally count as a xmas present).
- an AMAZING drawing tablet from my parents. its a wacom bamboo splash tablet, same as the one kalani got! plus they gave me $400.
- a cute bumper sticker that has a mermaid on it and says "get off my tail, please", and a cute mermaid necklace from my grandmom.

my boyfriend told me hes going to get me a ring like i wanted (hes always gotten me such nice necklaces, but im clumsy and i always break the chains. i dont wear bracelets, and the kind of earrings i wear are hard to find bc i get the kind that snap in on itself into a full circle since i dont like being poked in the head. so i wanted a cute ring bc i lost the one my dad got me, id had it for like 4 or 5 years, so i was really sad.), but he seems a little iffy on it because were young and he doesnt want me to look at it as some sort of promise ring or something. which i wouldnt. weve been together for 5 years, but im STILL not ready to be engaged. too young, haha. but we shall see on that.

im really happy with what i got. even some people who i didnt expect to get me gifts got me nice things. it was awesome (:
however, being the procrastinator i am, my bf and i STILL have not gotten anyone anything :( FML.

Was hoping to get more sequins to be able to finish my tail. Wouldn't have cost my family much at all, less than $20 total is they got the big bags of the ones I need :( Even posted a list of everything I needed on my facebook. But since I'm now saving everything I possibly can to be able to move home next summer, my tail will have to wait until after I get settled and have a steady income, and who knows how long that is :(

But no): I did get the bag of shells that I wanted, though! 8405 now to figure out what I want to do with them all!

This year I received:
-A trip to Hawaii and visiting relatives (before Christmas)

On Christmas day, I didn't receive a lot of gifts as I had to fit everything into my bag as it was my last day there:
- a Jacket with "North Shore" on it.
- some handmade vanilla soap.
When I returned home, after a 7 hour journey I received my Secret Santa gift:
- a t-shirt with "I'm really a mermaid" on it, and a cute blonde mermaid. (Yes it is my signature).

But what I really wanted to share was during my trip I confessed to my family that I liked mermaids and even went mermaidng, during my vacation, with Mermaid Stephanie. My family accepted and appreciates me for it! One of the best gifts I got during my vacation was the confidence that I should not be scared or afraid to share what I like and what I'm into, no matter how odd it may seem to others. So I feel really great this afternoon!

My biggest Christmas present was being able to go home to WV to spend most of December with my family and old friends :) I haven't seen them in over 2 1/2 years! There were health issues with some of my family members (spine surgery for one for my grandmother was a big one, as well as a 99%/100% block in my uncle's heart.. miracle he's still alive, really) so I was really glad I could go and see them. The cherry on top was a new Garmin! (My Garmin got stolen from my car in the summer by some blowfish.)
So that was why I kind of dropped off the face of the net.
