New to mermaiding~

Hello mermen and mermaids!
My name is Mermaid Opal and I am new to mermaiding. I am from the Chesapeake Pod and would like to get to know everyone! I do not have a monofin or tail yet but I plan to get a monofin to swim/train with and make a tail soon :) I am new to mermaiding but I have wanted to do this since I was a little girl! Any tips or hints for beginners would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I have been swimming with the dolphin kick for years-- I find it so much more enjoyable than regular swimming! I am planning on joining my local YMCA in order to perfect my swimming technique. Hopefully this will help me improve my dolphin kick form! I also really want to get a monofin to work on my dolphin kick too.

I have a few tips they may come in handy before you use your monofin.........1) Rub the soles of your feet on a ball to help stretch out the muscels! 2) Eat Bananas! lol 3) Do lots of stretches!
