Hannah Fraser Inspired Photoshoot

You may or may not know that my mertender is a bit shy. He's always helping out behind the scenes, but isn't big on being the centre of attention. This Christmas was tight for us money wise and we were unable to get each other gifts, so his gift to me was stepping out of his comfort zone and posing for photos! We were so lucky to team up with the very talented Mike McCarthy (see his website here: http://mccarthyphotographic.com/ ) and we took a very famous image of Hannah Mermaid (https://www.facebook.com/HannahMermaid?group_id=0) and tried to do our own spin on it using it for inspiration!

Now obviously, I am nowhere near the beauty Hannah is! But I think the photographer really did a great job drawing inspiration from the images without copying etc. He created a really neat mood. But i'll tell you it was hard as heck modelling. I still see lots of things I could of improved had I been able to see myself, but that's how it goes. I was just happy enough we were even able to secure a location! Which all came down to the photographer's connection with a family member. Certainly an experience :)

Great work Raina. The pictures you took have a lot of emotion in them. I particularly like the first one, with your boyfriend holding you, and you both staring into each others eyes. Amazing.
