As a fellow photomanipulator, may I suggest that you try using the soft smudge brush between her legs down that line and on her right ankle? It just needs a little more blending and then it'll look great.

Oh yes, thanks for that hint. I am just learning to use all the Features in GIMP. So I try.

Might I also suggest you try photoshop? I've used GIMP for a few projects and it just doesn't have the same effect as photoshop itself. You can also get it for free if you look around the internet.

Oh yes, I know that Otterbay-Suits. They are perfect. I got some photos by Frank Genes, who invented also a mermaidsuit which worked perfect in the water. I think he is the one behind Otterbay? My photomanipulations are still inspired by Franks own manips.

Do you have a DeviantArt account?
This stuff would go down a storm with some of the users over there.

To bad that isn't a real suit. That would be cool.

Seems a bit restrictive for my tastes.

Otterbay Wetsuits sell suits very much like this, with monofins and everything! :)

Okay, it was the corset. I like women with small waists. :) But it would be a modest one, so she can move.

She'd have to remove her bottom 3 ribs to fit into that corset.

What is the purpose of this post? If you're suggesting a tail like that, then check out Otterbay Suits. They don't have corsets, but in my opinion that would be very dangerous to wear in the water. I see your username is "tightfan". Would you mind posting an introduction about yourself in the intro section of the forum? Thanks.

I never said that this pic has to do with reality. Ist only a photomanipulation. I knao that this would not work in the water. I just tried to post something in the intro section, but that was not possible - don't know why.

Let's be fair, based on the way this thread has gone thus far, I could ask the very same question of the post that I'm quoting above.
Tightfan has made it clear from the stuff that he's posted and the language that he has used that he is interested in the idea of creating fantastical images of women dressed in costumes that make them appear to be mermaids.
He has also stated that they are purely a fantasy of his own creation.
Let's not start demanding that he explain himself in a manner that suggests we have a problem with his chosen form of expression when there is nothing either negative or offensive in its nature.
