I was just browsing around at spandexworld.com, looking at fabric and trying to decide what I want to use to make my first tail. I had decided to go with lycra/spandex because of budget, and then I found this: http://spandexworld.com/c3/catalog/product/7648

Can someone tell me if this would work for a tail? I know standard neopene is usually 2 - 3mm and I don't see any listing for this one, so I'm not sure... but I'm thinking this would maybe fall in that mid category between 2-3mm neopene and the lycra/spandex, yes? What paints to use on this since I don't like the color?

Thanks for any help/advice offered.

It lists scuba as an intended use, so you should be good!

Just be aware that the neoprin is NOT like neoprene. It stretches, but doesnt bounce back as easily as neoprene does. So that can cause some issues (potentially) once you do get into it and use it quite often. Lexia did a video comparison of Neoprin and neoprene. I'll see if i can find the link for you....

yea we had a long discussion about the topic of neoprin once on here and lexia decided to make a video so people could really see the difference. it's been some thing that stuck in my head :p can remember all kinds of things but never anything of super importance it seems :p
