While I was searching for things "mermaidy" I came across these fashion designs inspired by mermaids. I thought they were interesting and had to share. Some of them made me chuckle ;P

Well. That was... Indescribable. The fashion industry... hm. I can why you would laugh at some of the photos. Some of those accessories looked like it could poke someones eye out.

Ha thats what I thought! :) I thought it was weird that they had it as part of an outfit but then again, I dont really understand high fashion to begin with.

All the stuff was nice an all but I think the girls need to eat something. They look to skinny and they have health problems.

I don't see that though. I'm sure they are eating something. They look like I do, and I eat plenty. I only saw one of them that seemed "too skinny." But they all looked pretty darn healthy to me.

Well one thing is for sure, the fashion industry sure has a hard time representing all body types. Thats why I love Dove so much :) Nobody has the "perfect" body there is just a surplus of unusually skinny girls who model clothing.

well they only look for thin models because the clothing shows up better. you're not even supposed to pay attention to the model.

but they are starting to use plus sized models though. i was flipping through a canadian magazine and there was a few spreads of a very perfectly plump model. she was gorgeous.
