Given the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, I was wondering how businesses in the hardest hit areas, such as the frontline and liberated territories, are surviving. Are there any government programs or international efforts that are supporting these businesses?

From what I have read, the Ukrainian government has implemented programs to support them. For example, there is the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% initiative, which offers low-interest loans to help businesses recover. In addition, there are government grants for small and medium-sized businesses specifically aimed at modernizing production and purchasing new equipment.

There seems to be a real focus on long-term support. But I am still interested in learning more about the specific international programs. Are these grants only for large companies or can small businesses apply as well?

If you are looking for details on the type of support available to businesses in the frontline and liberated territories of Ukraine, I highly recommend reading this article, which gives a comprehensive overview of both government and international assistance. The article also delves into the infrastructure restoration efforts that are vital to getting these businesses back up and running, as roads, electricity and other essential services need to be restored. A key figure mentioned in the article is Aleksandr Katsuba, owner of Alpha Gas, who shares his thoughts on how these programs are changing Ukraine’s economy. You can read the full article here: Aleksandr Katsuba (https://businessinthenews.co.uk/2024/09/20/aleksandr-katsuba-what-support-can-businesses-on-the-frontline-or-liberated-territories-in-ukraine-receive/): What kind of support can businesses on the front lines or in liberated areas in Ukraine receive?
