Hello and nice to meet you all!
Get ready for a story! :$
My name is Faline, I'm a 24 (almost 25) year "old" dreamer from The Netherlands.
I'm passionate about everything I love doing and spend all my time and energy in living life to it's fullest in my own little way :)
I love gaming and spend quite (alot) of hours behind the computer doing just that.
Next to this I have a "baby" of 3 (almost 4 years) old: Frutsel, my Barn Owl. Which I got my hands full on! Raising, training and taking care of her is my joy of life. Reading... Atleast an hour before I go to sleep, preferably books from Terry Pratchett.
And.. Mermaids!
I've always been dreaming of "becoming a mermaid" ever since I was a little girl, made an entire collection of seashells, mermaid statues, pictures. People often saw me wiggling both my legs in just one part of the leggings I wore to pretend I was a mermaid. I'm sure alot of people on this forum did just that! (I hope, or does this make me an odd little fish right now? :P)
Untill some years ago I never knew people actually made their own swimmable mermaidtails and lived their dreams!
Ever since then I've been reading, watching and dreaming even more to try and find out how I could make my own, or eventually, find a mertailor to create my first tail.
Sadly my creative mind doesn't seem to work well with my less creative hands, so I decided to buy a tail instead.
End of 2011 I finally had the courage to order my first tail but some "health" issues got in my way.
My right lower leg seems to give my knee alot of problems because it's "off angle" by 40% which caused my knee to lock in place often. The many "locks" caused dystrophy in my knee and lower leg which cause my leg to hurt 24/7. I face the torture of therapy and many hospital visits (for check-ups) to get back on my feet so I can get a surgery to fix the entire angle of my leg so it won't happen again.
Facing and knowing this, my body has gone through some ups & downs in weight and size so I decided to wait purchasing untill my health is back or close at the way it was before so my tail won't be too big or too small ;)
With a little luck all goes well this year and then I can call myself a proud owner of my very first mermaidtail! <3
My apologies for the long story!
