I've been clearing out my folks attic........ Don't ask!
I've come across loads of mermaid drawings from when I was about 9! And my mum was like 'oh you couldn't stop drawing them!' So has anyone else drawn mermaids and come across them later in life or still draws them now?
Here's a couple of the mermaids I found; 92139214

Ill check it out, I'm still wondering weather it's possible to make a swimmable tail like my 2nd drawing! Or if the younger me's imagination was too vivid! Lol

Oooh I love that searay/angel-ish one. I wonder if that would realistically work... even if not to swim in.

Hey, that second one is pretty unique!
I used to draw mermaids and mermen all the time, but only ever on those little magent-pen tablets for kids (I was a kid at the time ;) ) which earsed everything once your were done. I, er... think I was shy about my love of merfolk even back then.

If you could only see the mountains of paper I've been through bags like this:9215 full o paper and crap to take to the skip! And most of the stuff I've drawn is some sort of aquatic person!

I don't have to time sadly! Working for Disney rules your life! (But I love it)

That's a shame but that's the way life goes sometimes :) Costuming and my job takes up so much of my time at the moment I hardly have time for other hobbies like writing and music. That must be amazing to work for Disney! Hard work but a lot of fun I bet. I'd love to be a costumer at one of their parks someday.

Write a letter with copies of your work and post it into them and they'll point you in the right direction, I sent in a DVD of me acting and singing and comparing, asking if I could work in their parks or ships as an emcee, they interviewed me and the rest is history!

Thank you for the advice! I might just do that once I have gotten some more experience.
That's really neat how they hired you. Working in a job you love is the best.

Make a portfolio (20 to 30 ish photos)
Get some credits from professional productions (like broadway/off broadway, touring productions and film/tv work)
With all this I'm sure Disney will snap you up! X

Beautiful! I really like the marking on the neck and shoulders of the first one. Btw is that bride of frankenstein hair on her, or is she under water? Either way it's cool.
