Childhood Mermaid Memories

I'm not sure if there was ever a thread like this (sorry if there was) but I just thought that it would be nice to share some of your childhood mermaid memories!

When I was little, every Halloween I would look at every costume store in the area for a mermaid costume with no opening at the ending (even though I wasn't sure how I would even get around in it). I really wanted to look like Ariel. Sadly, I never did find one. One time I thought that I saw one in Target, but my mom said that it was for big girls. I kinda find it ironic that I own a fully swimmable mermaid tail with no opening at the end now. Haha!

my family has a video of me swimming in a hotel pool when i was about 2 years old, maybe 3, and i was swimming with my feet together and exclaiming, "LOOK POP (pop is what i call my grandfather), IM A MERMAID! IM A MERMAID POP LOOK AT ME SWIM!"

i was so. freaking. cute.

Hold on, you found a swimmable tail at Target? That's awesome! :D

Aaaanyways, before I was really interested in mermaids, I would always slip both my legs in to one of my pajama pants (like how you would when you cover both legs with a pair of tights and then flippers at the end as a makeshift tail) and pretend I was a mermaid as I slept :)
