Hey everyone!

So i'm aware of how many theatre students are on here. I'm just curious, what productions have you guys been in? what was your role?

In grade 10 I was part of a Modern Romeo and Juliet production (where it takes place in my neighbourhood, where the hangouts are at Tim Hortons, where Tybalt's theme music was also SEPHIROTH's theme song, where the fight scenes include Falcon Kicks and Falcon Punches, and where Romeo has an invisibility cloak from Harry Potter). I was an extra for the Montagues and Capulets, Cousin Capulet at the Party (they made me an old man), and the Apothecary (drug dealer).

In grade 11 i was part of the production of The Crucible by Arthur Miller. I was originally going to play Susanna Walcott in the first scene, but in the end because of a certain person in my class who didn't memorize his lines on time, i was last minute stand in for the role of Putnam (male character) but only for act one. then for act three they kept me for susanna.

For my final year i was a lighting and music person for Office Hours, which is a canadian comedy for adults and takes place in downtown toronto. Near the beginning of the year we had to try and impress my drama teacher by reenacting a dialogue scene from The Taming of the Shrew. the requirement was it needed to be action packed and hilarious. Needless to say he was impressed with me and my partner. we had the whole class, including the teacher, in tears and laughter.

I'm an actor. I do the programs at my local theatre and my past productions have been:

Aladdin - Aladdin's Mother (the original story) with 119 lines.
Mystery of Yesterday - Unnamed Criminal, with 78 lines.
Smithsonian Exhibit - Beth-Anne with 66 lines.

I've done a lot more smaller productions, but those were the largest. I'll be a part of one or two more this year. I love acting at my theatre but most of the programs are just to play around with improv games (which are just the best, btw). My main problem is after I've memorized the lines in these programs I have to start actually acting them out, which can be hard with little time. >_<

Oh gosh, I don't know! I don't think I've actually given it much thought, really. Either of them. I just know that one day, just once, I want to be on a red carpet. I don't want to do it like, officially or permanently, but I'd like to walk down the red carpet for a premiere once (even if I'm not in the movie!). Now you're making me think a lot though, haha. With most of the plays I join, I don't have a real role that I'd like and I end up just randomly picking one that seems the most appealing to me...I don't usually try out for a play because there's a role in particular I want. xD I just try out to be in the play.

What about you?

I was in a couple school plays. I can't remember the names. In junior high, I never had a single line. In high school however, I got the lead role every time I auditioned for it

Well, I'm not an actor, but I am a costumer and all around theatre-tech person. :3

I've mostly done productions at my college (stuff like Pride and Prejudice, Punk Rock, Cloud 9, Bat Boy. .. ) but I've also done work at the local Children's Theatre during the summers. . . . there is nothing funnier than a Children's production of Midsummer Nights Dream. It was like an 80's glam concert.

That's so neat!! Do you design and make costumes? Our school just takes clothes from students just for the performance

I have been acting to, but I was more busy with all of the costumes and make-up that was needed for the other actors of our little group. Now I just make outfits for my self and some of my friends, being extra on a TV-show or movie-set and doing face-painting at parties.

Yep, I design and sew costumes. I've also worked lights, sound, set, and everything else you can think of. :B I go to an art college, so theatre is taken -really- seriously.

Extraghunt, you did Cloud 9?! That's a crazy one!

I did acting in high school, but I haven't done any since getting to college:
Grease -- Patty
Our Town -- Mrs. Gibbs
Pride and Prejudice -- Kitty Bennett
Seussical the Musical -- Birdgirl
And plenty of other plays

And in the summers, I work as a pirate on Captain Jack's Pirate Ship Adventures. Pretty much the best job ever. I get to be silly and pretend to be a pirate every day!
