Hey all! I'm Pickles, or Mermaid Pickles. I guess this really would be the best place to explain that name, but I'll refrain from doing so. I'm new to the site, and had a fabric tail for almost a year. I love the beach, but unfortunately, Texas beaches aren't so schnazzy for mermaiding. All that silt from the Mississippi delta kinda makes for yucky water. But hey. Pools work fine for now. That said, it's wonderful to be here, and in advance, you're all awesome.

'Cause it's so original and out of the box! It's not what you'd expect for the name of a mermaid, but that's what makes people love it :)

The name actually came about because one of the kids at my work said that I looked lie a pickle because I was wearing green. I had been trying to figure out a mermaid name for myself, and it just stuck. It's one of those odd things you don't really expect to fit, but they do and you just have to go with the flow.

I wasn't wearing the tail at work, I was wearing a green skirt with a green tank top and a black shirt.

I hate pickles (the real ones, not you of course!) but for some reason I named my pet rabbit Pickles when I was little. I never could figure out why I did that (but I was probably 4 or 5 at the time).
