This place resonates with me, it would be nice mer home. What a privilege for that freediver to be able to visit there.

I saw this a while back... The ending is soo sad. I hope they get enough funding to build a new research center some day.

Hmmm, it looks like FLorida International University has been able to rescue Aquarius, at least through 2013, while it works out a way to make it self-funded.

It looks like it may be possible for private entities to pay to use the Aquarius habitat. I wonder if it would be possibe for private groups to visit & live there for a holiday?

You've gotta admit, this would be one cool place to put on a Mer gathering :) I wonder what the stuffy scientist types would say, though, if a pod of mers visited the habotat just to frolic in the coral gardens?

I say someone should tell them that a bunch of mermaids would love to pay to stay a few days > w<

Now that's a beach house I'd invest in!

^^ The same way that Spongebob gets underwater fire and electricity to work, that's how

Woooow that is beautiful. How sad that it is being taken down. What will happen to the surrounding life?

Great video. Awesome freediving skills!

I'd prefer something less tech-looking though. H2OME is better, but still has this human vibe.
I love things that look like nature, or a perfect replica, or are designed to blend into the environment.

Now I only need gills.

Any home or think put under water would eventually be over taken by marine life so no matter what it looked like at the beginning, it would soon look natural.
