Ok guys, I am planning to start a new tail. I have a tail that I love but I've been doing some thinking and have decided something. I believe that mermaids would not have bright and crazy tails. This is not to say that tropical tails aren't awesome. My tail is bright blue and green. However, I think that if mermaids do exist, their tails will match their human ends more closely. To this end, I plan on making a tail that echoes my human coloring more closely. I am having trouble coming up with an exact design. This is where I was hoping you all could come in.

These are the specifications of your mission, should you choose to accept it:
Colors-
mostly yellow (my hair is blonde and my skin is olive-y)
orange
red (on the sides of the tail)

Fluke-
I like these:

Fins-
Since my hair is very long (to my butt now), I was thinking about a dorsal fin to continue that look.
Open to any other extra fins

Aspects of other tails I admire-
I like the dark dots that some fish (like salmon) have down their backs
Marla's tail. All of it: http://seatails.org/sites/default/files/styles/gallery_display/public/264048_234870596533682_220387801315295_810712_3109 995_n.jpg

This is a picture of me for reference from my deviant art. The lighting is a little wacky so if you'd like a clearer one, I would be happy to oblige: http://cliarna.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=24#/d2maab5

(ps Marla, if you would like me to take down the link to the picture of you and your tail, please just say the word.)

If you have any questions, please ask!

Also, thank you so very much to anyone who contributes!

I saw a painting by boris Vallejo who painted what seemed like sirens on a rock, and he made their tails the same color as their human skin. I thought it was an interesting idea. I also liked the "dolphin" smooth tails the mermen in Madonna's CHERISH video had. More "real-ish" like an aquatic mammal might be?

I know that spandex world.com sells a nude colored neoprin. Their prices are nice so if you wanted to check them out.
