Hello everyone :), I am really late on doing this intro but here we go. I'm Jeffrey ( mer name Tristan ) i am a very fun,and goofy individual.my first time seeing a mermaid was on YouTube (i think it was Hannah). and i was so fascinated by the thought of something that was believed to be a "myth" had come to life. and that fascination lead me here i don't have a tail yet ( I'm a little bit of a perfectionist ) but i do love to swim in my spare time, when i can find the water that is it's kinda dry were i live. I'm interested in a lot of things and i love to meet new people, but im shy until i warm up to you ( i know that's really weird ). and that s it for the most part :D thanks for reading.

Welcome Tristan. I was shy when I first joined. But we are very friendly here. I hope you enjoy it here and learn a lot about tail making and how to get more involved in the community.

Welcome to Mernetwork, Tristan! The first real life mer I saw was on YouTube, and of course, Hannah Fraser ;) Instantly fell in love and then found out about the whole community, too :)

Hiya! Welcome! I totally get the shy at first thing- I'm the same way, especially when meeting someone in person. Good luck with your tail, whenever you get to it!

Welcome! Good to see more mermen!

I'm pretty 50/50 when meeting new people IRL. Sometimes I'm really loud and obnoxious and talking a mile a minute, and sometimes I'm really shy. Depends on my mood, I guess.

Thanks :D I will admit this is definitely the craziest scheme i have ever had, hahaha. But I've been reading a lot about it and I was originally leaning towards latex/neoprene as well due to cost and the fact that it seems easier to do, but it doesn't last as long as I would like and I don't like the thought of my paint job I worked so hard on chipping every time I hit a slightly rough surface. Although it's cheaper than silicone it is definitely too much for me to spend on something that possibly isn't going to last. I really want a tail that will last me for ages and I can really be proud of, so I am just going to dive in the deep end and go for silicone :D And who knows, if I am good at it I might even end up doing commissions and making some for other people as well :)
