Better late then never....

I just had an epiphany that i forgot to introduce myself to the forum :doh: ... better late then never even though ive been a member since september.... Well here goes!

My full name is Allison, and i'm 15 years old. I've been obsessed with the little mermaid and swimming like one since a very young age. I love swimming because i swam competitively for about 5 years. I left to pursue other sports and because i didn't really like it anymore, too competitive, but i still LOVE swimming for leisure (especially with my tail!)
I'm now a competitive figure skater (not a super good one... like average) but i love it and thats all that matters! Its basically my life :) I'm currently in high school (which is a NIGHTMARE) like i can't wait for college. (fingers crossed for Duke) I'm very involved in my schoolwork, a bit OCD about it... and i just started playing the piano!
I have a fabric tail with a finis mermaid monofin. its an antiqued gold colour. I'm making a new fabric tail soon though! Blue with painted scales!!
Some of my other interests: GOSSIP GIRL (specifically my obsession with Ed Westwick), sculpting, rabbits (I have one!), horseback riding, and the internet machine. oh and Jenna Marbles she's perfect :D
So thats about it! Sorry for my short-term memory loss about introducing myself, i live more in my imagination than the real world so i'm always forgetting things (and losing my cell phone :headwall:)

Lol, Welcome, officially :) I'm the same as you with swimming, I'm not big on the competitive part of it. I did swim and dive competitively for a year, but dropped it after the season finished. Like you, I also LOVE swimming for leisure. :)

That is awesome that you figure skate, I've always loved watching it on tv- it's so graceful. I bet the strength you have from it is a huge help as a mer. :) And learning piano? That is awesome. I played piano when I was really little, but dropped it because I couldn't reach across 5 keys, lol. I've tried picking it up since then, but its really difficult. Kudos to you for learning!

Please post pictures when you start working on your new tail! I'd love to see it :)

No worries with the late introduction, lol. Again I'm the same as you, and forgot to introduce myself until a month or two after I had joined. :)
