Hey guys, for those of you interested in more general mermaid tail questions, I'm starting a new Mermaid Tail Playlist on my channel all about mermaid tail info. I only have a few videos up right now and I'm trying to get the basics down before going to more advanced stuff, but for now it should be a great guide to anyone who's perhaps deciding on what sort of tail to make.

Here's my channel:

Here's the playlist for Mermaid Tails:

I'm currently uploading a video on all materials so check back in an hour or so and it should be available. I'm also hoping to post another video today about different types of silicone and which you should use depending on what you're expecting out of a tail.

Once I get a bit more popular I'll be doing some Q&A videos where I'll answer specific questions a bit more in detail. I already have a few written down that I'd like to address but I'd like to get my overall How to on silicone tails out there so it doesn't seem quite as random.

I'll also be doing a video on my FAQ section for my "Full Tail Tutorial" to sort of reword them incase people didn't quite understand. I'd also like to mention that anyone who's mentioned in my Tutorial will be linked in the videos as well, so if you guys want me to link your youtube pages let me know, I'll be linking facebook on default.

If you guys have something you'd like me to address or an idea for a video, let me know! I'd be glad to try and share the knowledge.

I was getting a little too busy lately. Not to mention a few bad things happening but now I think stuff is calming down.

Also I shot you a facebook message the other day with a deal for you!
I actually have the impala horns ready to go I was wondering if you wanted a pair? Well go ahead and read the message, if not
I'll send you another message on here xD

Ooh that'd be cool if there was like a mernetwork channel where people sent in their how-to videos (tails, accessories, tricks, etc.) and they were uploaded to the channel. But it sounds like you've pretty much got it handled on your own! :D Haha btw..kantikane..cute Haha

Aah would you be willing to make a tutorial on how to make hoof shoes? A faun costume is my next project once I'm done with the tail I'm working on!

Yea! I've been meaning to make one for a while but I always change my methods so it's a bit hard.

I'll do an official one later but for now I can give you a quick run down on how to make them,

1- Get a pair of high heels 4" or more WITH A PLATFORM! Very important! All you have to do is cut
the heel off, not the pump, but it has metal inside so you'll probably want to use an electric cutter
if possible

2- Basically you'll be needing a hard material you can use to sculpt over the pump of the shoe.
There are 3 types of putty I'd recommend using that are easy to work with and have a relatively
long working time, so you have time to sculpt your shape.
-Apoxie Sculpt
-Magic Sculpt
- Free Form Earth (Smooth-on)

3- Basically mix parts A and B of the clay together until it's a uniform color and work it onto the
base of your shoe, covering the platform. All the sculpting things listed are epoxies so that means
they're adhesive so they'll stick on very well, so no worries about the grab, They also dry very very
hard and each has roughly 3 hours of working time.

It's probably a good idea to do one hoof at a time since you never know how long it will take you to get
the shape you desire. Also make sure you can do it all in one sitting since once the materials are mixed,
they're going to cure!

Hope that helped!

Wow, I spent last night watching all the videos. I really enjoyed them and I learned a lot about silicone (especially caulking). Thanks for the mer-lesson and I'll have to send a link to my friend who I'm trying to teach all about it, haha.
