Wow! That's an incredible theme job! Lol I wonder what that cost?

My theme for my hubby and my wedding was fire and water, since he's a landlubber, and me the mermaid. ^_^ surprisingly he thought of it!

Cool!
If you have a wedding may as well break the norm and do something you'll have a lot of fun with!
Although to be fair I'm sure a lot of people like normal weddings so that's okay too xD

Ha ha, I think breaking the norm is way better.

This couple really went over the top

The Ariel couple were definitely the cutest, though :)

Well, when a merbride gets caried across the threshhold, it should be in a tail? :mermaid kiss:

OMG! If i ever get married that Weechi Wachi Wedding would be my dream wedding. Except whomever I marry, will be wearing a tail too! :mermaid kiss:

Glad to see that some others were thinking that a mermaid bride should really be in a tail as well.

Good wishes to this couple, but it'd be really different to see a wedding where the bride was brought down the aisle in a tail or even was the one at the alter in some kind of shell or sat on a rock while the groom came down the aisle instead.

i dunno Nate, it kind of depends on what they want.

on one hand its cute and creative, on the other, not very practical and a strain on the guy carrying the bride for the entire day.
also, their wedding was a disney wedding, so it seemed appropriate for "ariel" to have legs.

if i ever do a mermaid theme wedding i still kinda want to look classy.

I'm not suggesting people should do anything other than what they want and is practical.

I just think a wedding with the bride in a tail for at least some of the ceremony would be interesting.

Oh, one of my Kickstarter backers told me about the article! Pretty unusual, & from what I saw, nicely done. It's kinda cool this couple went all out. Haha, that stuffed Flounder bothers me. Maybe because fish don't have fur/plush bodies. XD I thought it was cute they had the bride's maids be Disney princesses, but what about the groom's side? Did they dress up, too?!

They dressed up as Disney villans. :)

REALLY?! That's pretty interesting. A little funny, a little strange (that the couple would want the guys as 'villains' & the girls as 'female heroes'). XD
