Melu's first top - W.I.P - PICS!

So I figured I would share a little. Decided to make a top for myself. Never have done it before, but hey 1st for everything right?
It's still a Work in Progress, so here are some teasers in the mean time till its all done and I give the "final reveal"

I like it so far :) I think that the little strands of rope in the middle really ties it all together! (haha, get it? Ties it together? 'Cause it's a rope? Yeah... never mind.)

It's not some thing I have ever done before... Now, I'm not saying that it's easy, its a challenge in its own wright. But, it's not AS hard as I thought it might be. :)

And thank you ladies! I'll have some more pics here soon I'm sure. I want to add more green to it and fill it out a bit more before i can call it "done"

well the netting I sewed onto the bra. I sewed green onto the bra as well. The shells were glued. And now I am gluing some green to the back of the shells to fill it out. It's an experimental thing really. I did some research before I started as well. research is VERY important *nods*

HAHA mine took soooooooooooo long but it's well worth the struggle. It also depends on what you are trying to do. If you want a simple top opposed to a super intense one where you hand sew everything (mine.... #overachiever)

I hand sew EVERYTHING I make. (I has no sewing machine!) It is a lot of time and work, but I feel better cause I can address the details this way.

this was my last sewing project I did. Daughter Beast loved it :p
