Any Mermaids from WA, Perth?

I'm from SA, but as an Aussie fabric tail-maker I have been in contact with several Mer-lings who would love a meet-up down their way.

I have also heard about there being Mermaids in an underwater tank at the 2012 Fringe World Perth, in the "Treasure Chest." I would love to see it if anyone has footage.

So far online there is only One Sentence in the official book and 20 seconds of footage (Security footage from a great distance, Sped up.) Posted by Fringe World Perth to confirm that the act existed.

We would love a mermaid meet up sometime this summer and I plan on doing lots of underwater photography at the Busselton Jetty!

I haven't heard of any mermaids living in Perth (been here for ma whole life!) I'm starting up with my friend though, I've made my tail and plan on doing random appearances at pools and beaches for free to help inspire the children!15547
That's my tail there, my friend's is green! a meetup would be radical! nothing better than swimming like mermaids :)

Hi I'm Mermaid Amelia :) I have two mermen twin babies. As a mermaid I have been interviewed on channel 10 news, Today Tonight on Channel 7 and Nathan and Nat on Nova FM. I like to do free beach visits because they make children so happy but I also do private parties for a fee. Mermaid Jessica Pearl and myself have worked with the city of Perth and will also be performing in a couple of Shows in the Fringe World Mermaid Tank :) nice to meet you xxx

I'm from Perth too.
I have two friends who are very excited to become mermaids as well but aren't on this site. We're planning on finding a public pool that's tail friendly so we can practice, if anyone has any suggestions if love to hear them :)

I have an Oceanika merfin and I'm about to start making a fabric tail skin for it. Wish me luck! :)

Hi Venusinsilks! I've never had a problem with using my tail at pools, give them a call before you plan to go and just check that's it's all ok and I'm sure they will be fine about it. Where abouts in Perth are you? and I might be able to direct you to one close by ;)

We are so flat out with gigs etc that I haven't got time to organise a meet here in W.A and the only time I'm available is sometime during January and then only weekends for the last two hot months.
If you are a mer here in W.A let me know when you are available and we can maybe organise something ;)

Not sure what meet up you mean (I didn't re-read the thread) but I know that there is a MerQuest being organised in Busselotn WA in November and there may be another organised in QLD :) as for "catch ups" I think they are mainly organised through Facebook xxx
