Tail Color?

I'm curious as to what the most popular tail colors are out there.
I made the poll open to multiple answers for those with multiple tails.

Please only answer the colors you HAVE or have already ordered/are already making, not plan on getting or would like to get some day.

If your tail is multicolored, please answer with whatever the base color is.

Thanks for this Flower! I've always wondered too. This will be useful later on when others are trying to decide what colors to get. The two colors I think I have NEVER seen are yellow and brown. I've also seen very few white, which surprises me.

Blue is my main color but I am trying to think of a back up color that fitting for me. Silver, Red and maybe Purple are in my mind right now.

I go in Sunday for my 1st meeting with my special FX friend...it will be my first tail, and his first time making a tail. I want it to be a seafoam color with silver flecks so it shimmers when it's under the water

I have a green spandex one, have a green latex one on order and eventually home to have a fire themed one (reg/orange/gold) one but that will be a ways off. ;)

Aqua, shades of blues and Lavender are my colors. But Im also thinking of a silver, with blue..lol

Hmmm... I was thinking of asking Van Daal to make me a salmon tail. Silver, with some black dots and some kind of rainbow shine in it, if you know what I mean. I thought that since I live in the north we don't have so colourful fishes, and if mermaids would exist here, they would probably be silver as well.
Or maybe black. ^^

The one i had ordered is multicolored. A Dark purple in the shadows/underwater but a glittery blue and green tint to it in the sunlight. There is also some white on it.
When i later decide to get another tail i want to get a white base. The design has not been figured out.

Kylee Troche has a very pretty pink and yellow tail--actually, I'm looking at her Facebook right now and it seems she has worn some pink fabric tails too. I'm actually surprised there aren't more pink tails around. I thought pink would be popular.

And wasn't there a girl on here who just got a rose-colored Mertailor tail?

Sounds gorgeous. My dream tail would be either light blue or silver like a tuna or a salmon. Have you seen the Pax tails? They kind of look like that to me.

I haven't seen the Pax tails until you mentioned them! That's pretty much like the one I thought about.
But Van Daal seems so busy now, so I ordered a Mertailor tail. I know he hasn't had so much positive feedback, but I took the chance anyway, after Claudefish's beyond positive review. So I bought a silicone tail, with black as base colour, with red and copper. That would go with my red/copper mertop! And I found starfish pasties on Etsy, so I bought that as well. She did custom orders, so I asked for larger pasties in gold and copper :D
I can't wait to try it all on! I'm both excited and scared to receive the tail... it will cost me about 4000 nok (about 250 usd, I believe) in customs and VAT or whatever it's called. But I really hope it's worth it. And I'm scared to tell my parents that I ordered something like that. But... it's art. It's art, and that sort of makes it okay.

Sorry for babbling. It's just that I'm so glad I joined this forum and finally purchased a tail!

Out of curiosity, is everyone's main tails their favorite color... or do you surprise yourself by liking another color better for the tail? My favorite colors are probably purple and blue, but I think red or silver tails look better (perhaps from watching Splash! and the Thirteenth Year a lot when I was younger).

I don't have a tail, and I have a fair number of ideas of colors that I'd want my tail to be, but Red is my favorite color-- AND my power color... but I don't have any desire to have a red tail. Maybe a tail or two with red in it: lionfish or Koi... but I think I mostly want colorful marine-fish patterns in other colors.

I have a green tail from mermagica and an orange tail that german website. Magic tails, I think. One day I hope to have a white tail that shines a pale pinkish color in the light.

I have a pink fabric tail, blue fabric with silver stars, and white fabric with purple flowers and a touch of yellow, and a blue/green latex tail. When my blue/green one goes out for retirement or if I get enough money, I'd like to get a flesh colored tail, or something to that extent. And a swirly one, and a splotchy tail, and a flowered fluke one, and a manatee one. I have too many ideas...
