Hey Hey! Its TAX SEASON who's getting a new tail with their refund!?!?!

Just curious, if i get enough back on my refund Im going to try to buy a merbellas basic tail. Realization has set in that technically in my savings I can purchase a preformance tail, but then I would be a broke ass mer. And the boyfriend would strangle me.

Hoping to get a couple more gigs lined up. I made the decision that aside from gas expenses all gig procedes will go to a new tail!

But, enough about me. Whos getting a new tail?!?!

I thought about getting a new tail, but then I decided that I could put the money to much better use buying things I can use to make Shadow Fancy tails much better :) Like an airbrush system, higher quality neoprene to start testing, and supplies to make stuff for free giveaways :D

Harbor Freight has good beginners airbrush systems. I don't know if you have one where you are though. Also check out GREX airbrush systems. I have been friends with the GREX people for years and they have good solid systems.

Thanks! I was going to look into a Paasche system, but I'll have a look into GREX systems before I decide. I have about 2 weeks until tax returns come in, so I have a while to decide. Don't think I've got a Harbor Freight anywhere close by though, but I'll check. Thanks for the advice Nerenia

No tail, but with our family's tax money we fixed our dad's boat (moneymaker!), bought a MacBook Pro (it's amazing, and it's all mine<3), stocked up on pet stuff and more fishing supplies. Now that I have my laptop, it actually loads websites! Oceanika even loads on it, lol. So, no tails here, but I am closer, as a new computer came first before a tail.

Lexia: Paasche is good to, I have an old Iwata and its not bad. But then again I just use it for small projects and stuff. Tip on buying airbrush stuff. Check your local convention center schedule, if they are having makeup shows, haunted house shows, design and craft shows, etc... alot of times airbrush vendors will be at those and run great deals.


MerEmma: Cool! I am graduating college in May and a new laptop is on my list before a new tail to. I hope you have fun out on your boat, we have one to and its tons of fun in the summer!

I got a very good amount... I COULD get a performance tail... (having a kid, i tell ya!) BUT we're being super smart with it. I was able to get things to make my a top (which is FINISHED!!!! I'll have pics later!! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:) there are other things that we are needing to get done too. but most of it is being saved, only cause we know all too well you never know what curve balls life will throw your way!

Ehhh, Harbor freight... as a mechanic I'm not a fan at all. I would rather go to Grainger than Harbor freight and even then Grainger is pushing it. If you want to get an airbrushing system you should get something nice if you're trying for details. Cheap airbrushes have a tendency to splatter or "sputter" on the paint it's spitting out. Customer reviews are your friend! Read up on any tool before purchasing (tools are expensive!) and make sure it has a good warranty.
