For now it's just planed on paper, I threw some ideas and sketches together to get the global idea.
Fabric tail because cheaper and easier to work, since i'm already an amateur seamstress ;)
Main colors will be teal, blue and green.

basic sketches, i'm still trying to figure out how I want the lateral fins to be...

Color/design I'm intending for the fabric.
As a last detail, I don't have a monofin, but I'm planning to use my swim fins (hence the shape of fluke in my drawing)

you chose an interesting fluke shape.it makes me think of eels because if the extra fabric around the fluke. I'm curious, why this shape?
i love the little notes through your sketch <3 i think should turn out to be quite lovely. good luck!

Thanks for the cheerings :)
ShyMer, as I said I'll use a pair of swim fins instead of a regular monofin :

So I though I'll keep the shape, just rounding the end of each fin, and add some flowing and light fabric
I redid the global design, I love the side fins on this one but i'm not sure how to make them keeping the "sting" shape

And as a side note, here's my top design, I think this will be made first ;)

Such a unique top design. The fabric looks like it is going to be very 'flowy' in the water!!

For the fins, perhaps you could use some sort of wire?

I would be careful with the type of wire you use. most wire will rust after a while, unless it is something like surgical steel.

A while back Moonflower experimented with silicone, fabric, plastic zip ties. It seemed to work pretty well for her, holding its shape for the most part. Something similar might be useful for a base for your side fins. Just an idea :)
Cool about the swim fins. I musta missed that last chunk of text, silly me. I'm looking forward to seeing this completed.
