Aquarius here, though I always thought that was suppose to be a water sign. I guess the term "Water Bearer" can be a misconception to those unfamiliar with what their sign actually means.

Aquarius originally I think was something to do with the bag of winds given to Odysseus or Heracles by the Greek gods, and over time people thought the swirls of air were water....... I may be wrong!

You've got the same match as my parents but reversed! Tho earth and water are complimentary and can encourage great things to grow be carful as two water signs and an earth sign can get a bit "muddy" lol

Don't worry you're still a cancer the imaginary 13th sign sits between Scorpio and Sagittarius

as ive been told the 13th sign was created by an astrologer in the 1970's unhappy with his natal chat so he decided to include other constellations, he came up with ophichus (the snake bearer) for himself so he cold be more "special" (ophichus has only a few days) he also wanted to create a 14th called Cete or something (basically big fish or whale) for his wife (I don't know how his wife took to the idea of beig born in the house of the big whale! Lol)......... Funny/fishy how he didn't go the full hog if he was serious and create a 15th zodiac after a constellation we all know, its one o the brightest even viewable in brightly lit citys! It's been in movies, helped sailors navigate the globe, has one of the brightest stars and is known for a certain garment that it wears; Orion!

So that's why I just stick the the real 12! Lol

You may be thinking of Aeolus (http://www.theoi.com/Titan/Aiolos.html) (Aiolos / Æolus), though Aquarius (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquarius_(astrology)) is depicted as a water-carrier.

By the look of it Aeolus wouldn't have to stretch to far to turn into Aquarius and with confusion over his parentage of weather his father was Posideon or not mabye the Aqua bit slipped in?

Anyway I dunno all I got told that Aquarius is based of a guy in Greek mythology with a sack of wind; loos plausible to me!

I'm the first day of Pisces, which in some horoscopes is still counted as Aquarius.
(Aquarius is called "water man" in my native language, so I've always stubbornly said "water woman" or "mermaid" when asked my sign as a child lol!)

With Chinese, I'm a Fire Snake, which apparently means I'm the least lethargic and languid of snake personalities.
I love water snakes (real ones!), in chinese astrology water just denotes you're good with money, suave, and like to manipulate people :p

What's your birthday? Because the cusp changes based on the year. You could actually be a virgo or a scorpio, depending. And there are other signs that factor into your horoscope as well.
