I want to post some doodle-designs of tails on here, but the last time I posted my designs on a website, a few people stole them even after I asked them not to. I don't want to seem...I don't know, vain? (:confused:) but I don't want people to steal my designs again :doh:

Most of the mers here won't do that, a lot of us are artists here. But its always best to be safe then sorry in my opinion.

Exactly what I was thinking(: My artwork got stolen off of an artwork website- who woulda thunk it?! I think I'll put a small watermark in the middle, but won't overload(:

I'm going to start putting watermarks on my photos too- I hate to do it, but people will steal if they can. :( Usually with my artwork (like my avatar) I put a big MIZUKO through it, but I've been lazy with my photos and I have to start watermarking them too. I'm sorry your artwork has been stolen :(

My pictures got stolen and the person who stole them found one of my friends to be appealing and stole her artwork as well. I put watermarks on everything now.

I haven't had any major stealing, but I've had a few photos stolen off of my FB page and passed around without my permission. I just put my website in the corner (usually lower corner). If I need to at at later date I'll make a bigger one. I don't know what you guys use to make your watermarks, but I use a self made custom brush in GIMP. Just google how to "gimp how to make a brush" and there are loads of tutorials. You can even put the brush on a different layer and tone down the opacity to make it transparent.

I had pics stolen too to put on hate-sites like '4-chan' and 'fail-book' (poorly dressed) to laugh at me :( Now that I put in a bold color 'themermaid' on it they can't do that anymore without destroying the outfit on the pic.
