Hello Everyone,

So I'm just wondering if there is some sort of substitute for Alex Plus. It isn't sold here in Australia and I don't want to ship it in from anywhere as I had an issue with things like that before.
So if someone could help me out that would be a really big help.
Substitute for Alex Plus.

I think the equivalent of Alex plus here is Selley's

Honestly, I'd go with real silicone. It's more expensive but gosh do I hate caulking!
It's just a bleh material that ends up cracking unless you get the 100% kind which ends up costing
a lot anyway?

Not worth it IMO, I'd wait and save for platinum silicone

I agree with Kanti, not to mention the health risks that can come from using caulking. But if you do wish to use it, go with Selley's. No need to import it :)

I have a latex/neoprene tail and I used it maybe three times and the back is almost completely cracked off :( is it possible to use silicone to repaint it? Does anyone have any suggestions?

There is a type of alex that is silacone instead of latex so you may want to look into that ;)

There's a post in here about using Aquarium silicone as an alternative to ALEX. http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?3873-Aquarium-Silicon-as-an-alternative-to-ALEX&p=62010#post62010 maybe you should try that
