THIS TAIL HAS BEEN BOUGHT! THIS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. IF YOU'RE STILL INTERESTED IN A TAIL PLEASE GO TO THE RAFFLE PAGE
To go to the raffle version, please go here (http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?4515-Raffle-Custom-Full-Dragonskin-Silicone-Tail-1-500)

Alright guys as many of you may or may not know I've had the full silicone tail tutorial up and ever since then have been itching to put my knowledge and skills to work on a silicone tail. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive the funding. I'm going to extend an offer out to everyone here and see what exactly I can pull together.

I am offering a full, PLATINUM silicone mermaid tail for $1,500.
For the price you will get:
-Custom fluke design
-Raised scale design
-Total of 5 custom fins
-FULLY painted design
-Finis monofin
-Shipping included

*What WILL cost extra are monofin upgrades. They will be equivalent to the price of the monofin

I understand I have made no previous mermaid tails which is why I am making the price so low.
If you need or would like examples of my sculpting ability or even if you are interested and would like to send me a photo/design of what you would like to see if I can recreate in on a miniature scale to prove to you that I am capable, I am willing and able to do that.
I have done much more complicated and detailed sculpts and I have created MUCH more complex molds so creating a mermaid tail is literally something I am perfectly capable of doing, I simply don't have the money for one.

Here's a quick sample of a miniature fluke design:
9849
This took approximately 15 minutes to sculpt freehand and it is about 4" long entirely, so forgive the details. A real size tail would be much more detailed and drawn out.

I will also be using this tail to finally make a video tutorial of how to make a full silicone mermaid tail, so whoever ends up buying this tail from me will get an honorable mention on my youtube page as my sponsor.

This price is only going to be available for one person, so never again will I be offering another full silicone tail with this many options at this price.

Once someone has come forth and made a payment I will announce the beginning of the tutorial over my Youtube page and I will update it at LEAST once a week. Construction on the tail will begin as SOON as payment is received and as soon as a design is made.

I really hope this is taken seriously, everyone needs to start somewhere and I would really love a shot at this. I am willing to go out of my way to make sure your design is perfect.

Feel free to ask questions or ask for a miniature fluke sculpt example.

WOW what an amazing opportunity! I can't wait to see you do this, it is really going to help me and everyone else who is embarking on the task of making their own silicone tails. If I didn't want to make my own, and I had the money, I would totally snap this one up!

Thanks guys.
I've been wanting to do this for a while and I think offering a discounted tail is a great way for someone to get the tail of their dreams with all the freatures they could possibly want and to give a fully detailed tutorial on how to make all the features of a tail.

I guess the other option I could do is try to raise the money via a raffle and whoever wins in the end gets the tail.

I'd need to raise $1,500 or higher, though.

If you did the raffle I would definitely buy a few tickets ^__^

I guess I could try that and depending on whatever raises the money first could win?

I added it into the main post. I guess it's always nice for some people to take a risk and pay a lot less than it is to pay the full amount. I mean, you can also think of it as paying $25 to fund the tail tutorial.

Yeah, that's an idea. You could do a raffle but have a $1500 "buy it now" price. I suppose if you ended up getting someone buy it before you raised the money with the raffle you would have to refund the tickets? I dunno.

And yeah, you should probably put the raffle in a separate thread, I think, so people know about it

I guess I could and link them both together. It just seems a bit repetative is all I don't want to clog the forums with essentially the same information, ya kno?

Yea of course! The raffle would only happen if the tail isn't bought, so I would refund it!
That'd be unfair to keep it all xD

Yeah, true. But then again a lot of people could miss the information on the raffle if you just have the sale post, they could just see it and go "I don't have $1500"

Yea I guess you're right. People sometimes don't read all the info. I guess I'll just link them together.

Yeah, that's probably the best idea. Make sure they are linked together so people know that it's the same tail you're talking about, so people won't think you are making two!

Damn, I would have loved to sponsor a beginning tail maker if only I had seen this before I spent a little over 3000 on a mertailor tail.

Aww oh well!
Maybe next time D:
The mertailor's new tails do look really snazzy!

Kanti, I'd sell a kidney for this! I've seen your work, I know you'll make an amazing tail! If I come across 1500 bucks, I'm all in! I'll keep checking back with this thread to see what you decide to do, raffle-wise and such. :)

I agree with Lotus--I'd sell my kidney too, lol!
I've been following your videos like crazy and I know you'll make an amazing tail. Just wish it could be mine, but I still haven't stopped growing. Nor do I have that cash, haha.

Something else maybe to include in the first post--what sort of monofin options there are

Kanti

Thanks thats a good point.
I'd like to stick with something simple but if people WANT to upgrade it they can to whatever they want, they'd just have to add that on top.
What's included in the $1500 price is a regular monofin.

Also thanks for the kind words everyone! Seriously, I was a bit scared to do this at first but now I'm really happy I did.

If you guys want as well you can participate in the raffle. I'm selling raffle tickets for $25 a piece and I need 60 to sell.
Even if you don't win I'm still going to be making the tail tutorial for everyone

Kanti, on the first comment you said that you've already posted the tutorial. Where can I find that, even though I already use your video tutorials, it's good to have as many references as possible.

Im currentlt re-typing out the other "written" tutorial at the moment. The one I had on previously was so bleh I had to redo it.
For now the videos are what I'm focusing on. I haven't had much time to write that tutorial lately and I honestly find that the videos are better since there's an actual example. I get stuck writing when I have to describe certain things and I'm not sure they make much sense.

I think your BEST bet is going to be waiting for the videos.
