performer's insurance

hi everyone...
does anyone have any experience with insuring themselves as performers? I am thinking that pools in my area would be more willing to allow me to swim if I had insurance.

In the UK it's called public liability insurance, but I still think even if you have that although it covers you, it doesn't cover the pool! So the pools wouldn't change their stance regardless of weather your insured or not as they could still be sued by you and/or members of the public.
