Im doing a Map art project for my art ed class. Its due March 26 so I have little time to do this.

I need from you...

A photo of you in mer-gear or tail... (not required though..jsut you is fine)
A photo of you usual swim place or some place notable where you live

State/province/country you live in


Your image will be manipulated to fit the shape of your state/province/country and displayed as a world map.

My task is to show a map artistically of my community. You are my community so please email you images to me

Project is due March 26 but I work 30hrs a week and have class twices a week. So my time to complete the project is limited. THe sooner the better! Next week (3/18) is spring break. So if you cna have them by tuesday of that week. it will be great.

Also.. I need everyone to email the pics.. I dont have time to download anything right now. I onlypop on to check this once or twice a week if i can.. Ive got an 8 pg paper due tuesday and another writing assignment for my other class as welll...

Remember it doesnt have to be special. Existing images are fine. Im squishing pictures to fit the borders of your stae/province or country.

Project has evolved...

Im modpodge'in the images on an actual globe. and decoratingthe base and swing arm with air dry clay and sculpting(trying to anyways) it to looklike waves. :D

Ill post images when I finish it.

The completed project. The entire original globe had been painted over. your images were pasted over the general continent. Had to tweak project slightly but very happy with end result!

Hope you all like it too! I really wish more people had responded.

The waved on base and up side armisture were hand sculpted by me from crayola air dry clay covered in mod podge and then painted with acrylic paints.
The entire globe had the oceans repainted and all land masses. I added a few "monsters" of the deep for fun.

honestly.. I was sick all of spring break with strep and sinus infection. I literally sculpted sunday night.. painted monday night.. turned in tuesday morning.. LOL!
