View Full Version : MARCH MERNETWORK CHALLENGE: MERFOLK PLAYING GAMES

Our next challenge is to make something featuring merfolk playing games. Sports, video games, RPG's, card games, board games, mind games, drinking games... you get the idea. Just make a photo, video or drawing that features the theme of games and post it here!

The rules:
- Entries should be a photo, video, or drawing.
- To submit your entry, post it or link it in this thread, being sure to clearly state that it is your submission.
- Deadline is Friday, March 29th, after which a poll will open in this thread for voting.


Explanation for those unfamiliar with MerNetwork Challenges- MerNetwork Challenges are a sort of game we can all play together, where everyone is given a challenge and encouraged to post entries. The winner is chosen by a vote. There's no prize, its just for fun.

I've done nowhere near the amount of practice I need for my art skills to work for this one, so I am regretfully abstaining from this challenge (though I am looking forward to seeing what you all come up with). However, I did have some ideas I thought I'd share...

1. Merfolk sitting around a card table playing Go Human
2. A mermaid making a human MMORPG character
3. A merman basketball player and a play on the phrase "Nothin' but Net"
4. A serious game of mer-chess, played with a seashell chess set.

I had something really cute planned out with my husband involving underwater video, chess, and playing cards. Then he got called into work a day early and had to use that day to pack, as he'll be gone two weeks (then back for all of half a day before he's gone for another two weeks, then the same thing one more time.. argh, stupid Coast Guard). Sooooo going to plan B tomorrow in the pool. Not sure what plan B is yet XD
