jellyfish

when i swim in the ocean there are loads of jellyfish and they get in the way of swimming i know i should just ignore them but i cant.

Yeah things like jelly fish and sharks are the resin I'm afraid of swimming in the ocean

If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? Is the water cold enough that you could wear a wetsuit? They also make "skins" which is like bathing suit material that covers your whole body but doesn't make you hot or offer any type of cold water protection. Anyway, usually the material is thick enough that the jellyfish stingers can't penetrate.
