H2O Style Tail in the works

So I've been kind depressed lately because i father had taken a huge amount of money out of my bank account which i was gonna use to either buy a Fishbutt tail off of Stevi or make my own. My boyfriend being the make it yourself kinda guy suggest that we work on making me a tail together to which i laughed and told him don't bother.
to my surprise for Valentines day i came went over his house and he handed me a folder filled with mermaid Picture from H2O just add water to which i pretty much told him wtf are these.
he had collected all the pictures he could of the tails as well as the production photos of the making of the tails and watch as countless videos or one video countless time until he told me he was pretty sure he cold duplicate the tail.
all i have to do is get the materials and everything and he will make it for me.

you have no idea how beyond excited i am about this.
we intend to get one item at a time til we have everything and he can get started.

so what do you guys think?
and here's another little question how would you make your H2O tail look and how would you make if if you could
because if all goes well with my tail my boyfriend may be interested in making more for a prophet.

I'm sure you'd have plenty of people interested--possibly me as well, except if I were to own an H2O-type tail I would probably like to make it myself. Or not, haha! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Do you plan on hand laying the scales as well?

I love the look of the h2o tails and always have. If I had one, I would make it look just like the original, but in blue ^-^

im not in to h20 but if he sold exact replicas he could make sooo much money, they have sold so many of the magictail h20 style tails because there are so many fans, you guys could have a really good business there!

That's the idea. We are still figuring out everything that we will need and just how to go about each step but i am confident we will be starting the beginning steps in the next few month. He seems almost as excited by this as I am...its kinda creepy lol

Money, as always has been an issue, which is why i am selling my fishbutt tail
but we have gotten through the design process for the tail and have slightly figured out the color
what we intend to do is make a scale mold instead of putting on the individual scales one scale at a time
this is gonna be added to a neoprene tail sheath and the entire thing will be spray painted

but the first thing we will be doing is making the tail extension and foot pad.
