View Full Version : Other Jacquard Products, are they good for Neoprene?

So I posted on another thread that I am thinking of using something other than or in combination with Jacquard's Lumiere paint. They have a product called Neopaque that is the same formula as Lumiere but has only rich flat pigment meant for covering dark surfaces. Now there aren't too many colors, but if you have a good eye, mixing options look endless. It seems it would solve the problem of the sheer Lumieres fading on the neoprene too, it could just be used as a base color. There is also an extender product to sheer out the Neopaque, thin the Lumiere, and possibly to add Pearl Ex powdered pigments too and its basically the base for the other two paints, without pigment. I am really excited about the Pearl Ex because it has three duo colors that shift from one to another color at different angles, just what I need for my concept.

Does anyone have experience with any or all of these products? Are they worth the $$$$?

My searches couldn't find a true discussion on these for products, so I am sorry if this has be explained before, just link the info or otherwise direct me there. Thanks Mers!

I used these paints for my tail- check out "fear and loathing and a tail " thread.
I feel the paint is worth the money, but everyone's different. :)
