It's a nice bright olive green with a slightly darker green striping/wrinkle with silver threading through out all of it. You can see the silver shimmer at the top of the picture.
That is really cool looking!

Monofin progress: I tried just about everything to get the zip ties to hold onto the monofin. I used E6000 (no scratching) and it didn't hold. I used hotglue and it didn't hold. I used E6000 with scratching up the surface and it didn't hold. So I jumped into the big kids pond. I used Gorilla tape. All of my ties are firmly attached now. I should have started with the tape in the first place. I will use hotglue again, but in a different way. I'm going to use it to fill in between the 'veins'. Pretty much I'll have a tape layer, then the hot glue, then more tape.
Has anyone tried this? What do you think? Good idea or bad?

Got my zipper today, also picked up some ribbon to make fringe with. It's darker green but still glittery.

I have the gap on the right side completely covered now.
I'm going to go look for some lightweight stiff plastic to help make this less floppy.
The first picture has the general pattern of what I'm going to do with it.

(Like I said, the back is still ugly. I ran out of the sealer. So once I get a new can, I'll make the back all pretty too)

Thanks! I need to do some touch ups when I get more of the sealer. I noticed I have a few air pockets that need to be punctured and re-sealed.

Shell collection is growing immensely.
Just got my Hobby Lobby order today!
Now I have a pair of Lion's Paw shells and a huuuge amount of fishnet!
Also, finally got some fabric textile medium to mix my paint with so I can paint my top and it won't flake off the fabric.

What sealer did you use?
And good work btw I love how the shape of the fluke came out... Is it super floppy tho? How much of a difference is there between the floppiness of the zip ties compared to the monofin?
I can't wait to see everything put together!! Would love a video of you swimming!

I originally tried to use Flex Seal spray. but it started to flake off, so I taped it over again with more gorilla tape, then took high temperature hot glue and went over all of the seams. It's not super floppy, but it does have some flop. the monofin is more rigid compared to the zipties and tape, but it's decently stiff with a bit of flop.
I could have sworn I posted a video here. Oh well, here it is anyway.

Thanks! There's a couple of us here in Idaho, though we're all in different towns. I'm down near the bottom of Idaho in Pocatello, and my mermaid sister is in Blackfoot, and I've talked to one in Boise. ^__^
